Well, that's lame, but whatever. And not just because my choice may not get picked--it would suck just as much for the Augie March people if DQ was picked. Why not a five-day poll on just the two? If that turns out to be a tie, then okay, just choose.
One book in each hand - what's your problem?
If we follow past practice I believe the old fashioned, yet effective coin toss is employeed.
Well, it looks like Scher decided to ignore all suggestions and just go with Augie March.
What would "all suggestions" that be -apart from your own suggestion, that is?
Having another poll for another 5 days will take away from a month that is already shorter than others.
In the Book Club usually we flip a coin in cases of a tie as Papayahed has already mentioned; however, this time I have decided to go simply with the shorter book.
The aim of the Book Club is reading books together; it matters little which one that would be. If you take the time to check out the past threads, you will realise that more than often we go with the book that has won the coin-flip (regardless of my personal preference).
Now that this issue has been dealt with, hopefully, we can put it behind and carry on with reading and discussions.
Okay, fair enough. I trust there is nothing wrong with having a discussion over DQ in the Cervantes forum?
