That's very true...Modigliani....I was almost waiting for one of those characters to break in to comment at the end of your audition. Then Hamlet does lighten up a bit, especially when he hears of the players. They also have that little joke going on, when he delivers the line "Man does not delight me"...I think one of them, then says "Nor me"...then implies a reference to a woman. Hamlet seems to come out of his mood temporarily. Guess I'm used to the Branagh version, where he has a bit of range during that speech; I have seen the movie at least 30 times by now - pretty obsessive huh? I think yours was more like the Olivier version, am I right?...a little more moody and depressive.

Incidentally, I look to my right in the end of the video because I always hear Rosencrantz's gigglesnort in my head after finishing that speech. And Christ on a pogostick, no! I was not in fact modeling my interpretation after Olivier's. It might have been a bit "emo-er" than Branagh's, but I like to think there was a little more of an emotional (or at least a facial movements) range than old Lawrence's stylistically monotonous and recitation-like...recitation. :D

Oh gosh, sorry M; that was my fault; I actually haven't viewed Olivier's version for a few years. What is emo-er...emotional? Your acting and facial expressions were good; so was your timing. And it's good to see your face, too. Nice to meet you, Mondigliani Hamlet! haha...:D

Bravo, incredible audition Modilgiani! Yeah, the music was a bit annoying, but it certainly didn't water-down the excellence of your performance :D

By the way, of course you're invited to participate, it's a good thing that you came just at the right time, for you would've been unable to join if we had started scenes already. I assume that you've read all of the information in the other threads and know what's going on :D

By the way, I've decided that for minor roles, (i.e. roles smaller than that of Rozencrantz or Guildenstein (yeah I know I can't spell :lol:), for though they are minor roles, their roles are big enough to have a developed personality), so for minor roles, we will just have people volunteer to play them without any audition nessicary, I'll just have to ask our Casting Director first, what say you Janine? :D

Also, though we are in no hurry to get moving, I must remind all of our volunteers to please be practicing their audition and turning it in whenever they are comfortable :D. Like I said, we're not in any rush, and I my self have been busy with classes, but I don't want this project to die.

Well, I didn't want to rave too much, until the auditions all were in. I hope to stay partial; but since you said it, I will repeat 'Bravo!' to both of you. You have more nerve and acting skill than I have; that is for sure. Daniel, please still audition for Hamlet. I am sure M won't mind a little competition - its healthy for all of you.

Eekk...well, I just tried recording my own voice on my little mp3 player. I then went to recordings and it said none. If you tell me how to do so online - I do have two other microphones (not currently hooked up, but that's no big deal)..and if it can be the smallest part available, I may well consider it. You guys won't let me up about acting. I swear I stink at reciting and acting; but I will give it a whirl and play it back to myself and see if I might pass the test. My voice is a soprano and quite high, I think, so not sure how it will sound lowered as a male part.

I will be super busy the coming week, too but I will try and fit something in and I will be checking in often to listen to the auditions.

I auditioned for Hamlet too. Nick hasn't uploaded it yet.

Aha. How to define 'emo'? I s'pose I should first state that I meant to reference the term in a joking and mildly self-deprecating manner. Urban Dictionary can probably explain it better than I can, but it basically encompasses all the broody, melancholic, melodramatic and chiefly ridiculous mood swings one experiences generally in adolescence. Thank you for the compliments! I'm actually not a contemporary artist (at least not in the literal sense), but I am indeed a fan of Modigliani, or, rather, his life story. Decadence, brilliance, tragedy, etc, etc. :D
