Taurus
Oh, no, no, very likely yours are as accurate as can be, especially if you've got the real charts and all. I put a disclaimer on the first page...let me quote it here:
Two thousand years ago the sun sign in the paper would have been accurate, but since that time they've shifted just one sun sign.
:D Leo, according to my latitude.
Aquarius, though again, according to my latitude.
:D Scorpius! I'd hazard a guess that this one is correct, since it's one sign off from what you thought it was.
Ok Taurus,
My book of charts is older but I think it is pretty accurate. The charts of the basic signs such as sun, moon, mercury, mars, venus...and so on...are not too difficult to look up; then once you find the chart say:Quote:

Moon in Virgo
Mercury in Pisces

Then you look up the various charactersistic for each planet, such as above: Sun in Cancer, Moon in Virgo. Ok, work is far from done. One then refers to another book about composites. There could be two water signs such as Cancer and Pisces in the chart - they would be Trine...if my memory serves me right - you see they are the water signs, however they must be within 9 degrees. There are trines, opposites, conjunctions, sextiles, etc...it is all mathematical. So then you see what 'trines' indicate - usually compatibility/attaction, being of the same - water. Let's put it this way, looking up the chart is not difficult, but checking out all the characteristics does take considerable time. I imagine now they can do all that with computers.;)
Wow, that is interesting though. True that they have shifted. hummm..makes me rethink the whole thing now.Quote:

I don't know what latitude we are at actually. I must look that up. humm..I get latitude mixed up with longitude. I better consult my globe or a map.Quote:

Depends on how close you are to the dates. I would venture to guess, Eye, that you possess characteristic of each. Hey, eye, you will have to find some fried scorpian to serve up on your profile page.Quote:

Yes, and my family and some friends, also. I used to keep a whole file of the charts, but I really was the only one who knew the full significance of them or the interpretations; because as I said above, it takes a great deal of time to look up all the various aspects of a chart. If you have your exact birthdate you can also look up your 'rising sign'... I forget now what is mine. I don't truly know how to look that up. There is much in astrology I don't know how to utilize. I only scratch the surface with this stuff, but it is funny and uncanny how so often it actually does fit the person.Quote:
Have you done your own chart Janine? I had mine done once and it was pretty neat.
That is cool, Papaya, did it seem the chart was accurate as to your own personality? I would be curious about that. Did you do it online or at an actual astrologer's....haha...I can picture one with a pointed hat and stars on it.;)
Yeah, I learned about this at an observatory-it's because the Earth shifts in different tilts over time, thus screwing up where the constellations appear to be.
I'm a Taurus according to the newspapers, but I'm actually an Aries, apparently.
And then there's a new guy-Ophiuchus. I just love that name.
But I am indifferent to astrology, so it doesn't matter.
Well, if everything has shifted, then that shifted all the relationships too....how funny. I guess it all relative.
Gemini!!! I love Geminis!!!
I have seen those online and wondered about them. Did they charge you or was it free? I guess the calculate it according to computers. Did they give you your chart?... such as:
Sun in Leo
Moon in Cancer
Mercury in Leo
Venus in Aquarius
So on and so on...
Those are just examples - not your chart of course.
It was free:

and it does give you the chart.
Hey andave, what about 2nd September?
What you read in the newspaper, or what you read in general is just a tiny part of your birth chart, called the Sun sign. There's Moon sign, Venus sign, Mercury sign, Mars Sign, Jupiter sign, and so on...There's also your rising sign or your ascendant which is critical in predicting your future. All those make the very unique you. The placements of each planet in every sign are the make up of your character.
Sun in Pisces
Moon and Jupiter in Capricorn
Venus and Mercury in Aquarius
Mars, Ascendant, Saturn and Pluto in Scorpio
Uranus in Sagittarius
september 16.and i'd be really glad to know what my real sign might be!
