Unfortunaly EAP i've downloaded all the LMM's books that i could from the internet. The 4th and 6th Anne's books, the Emily Series Books, The Pat's books and all her other works except "Kilmany of the Orchard", "The Story Girl", "The golden Road" and the two Chronicles of Avonlea books, are forbidden for me until they become public domain.
Right now they are under copyright laws, preventing me from downloading them and even from just reading them on the net, and it will be so for quite a few years... But thank you very much for your sugestion anyway, it was very nice of you.


Well Kiwi Shelf i'm begining to think that Canada = Heavenly Bliss too; and i'm getting so desperate that the idea of buying the books on the internet it's geting more and more appealing by the minute. If you don't mind i'd like to get some information from you about it.
As i've already told you i'm a little picky when it comes to buying my books and i'd like to be as absolutely sure as one can be that i'll get exactly what i want; so this is what i would like to know: On Amazon's site we find a variaty of choises when it comes to the book's characteristics: the type of edition, the type of cover, abridged or unabridged copy, used or new copy... -- and i'm not talking about the currency problem that arises in my specific case!
When you find what you're looking for and decide to order it where on the request order do you specify those product characteristics? -- When you say all your books come from Amazon you´re saying that you buy then on the internet, right?
I'm asking because i've looked it up and i haven't found any kind of formulary where i could do that. If you could shade some light over the matter i'd apreciate it.
I hope i'm not bothering you too much though.

I am almost postive that Amazon only has one book choice for LMM books. At least as far as I have searched. The style that is available is what I have at home, and I personally like it. I might also add that if you buy her books used, all the books I have bought by this formula have never even been read.

Thank you for your quick answer Kiwi Shelf, i'll think about it. If i don't find any other solution i'll have to buy them on the net...

They are avalable under Australian Guntenberg site because Australian Law limits the time of copyright to 50 years instead of the usual 70 years in United States and many other countries of the world.

I know that EAP but i read the information discloused on The Gutenberg Project Australia about copyright and was my understanding, after i consulted the list of countries which, like the USA, have a copyright protection of life+70 years, that my country is also under the same restrictive law. So it is, that i can´t even read them on the internet for that would be a violation of the copyright rights. But thank you again for your help and interest.

I was really upset with the movies...the first two weren't bad, but the third was so far-fetched...

Anyway, does anyone know a website or even the names and writers of some of Anne - or even Emily's - favourite poems?

I do agree that the movies did take a huge leap by about 30 yrs but the spirit of Anne is still there but I also feel sad that they made that huge of a leap because it does not alow room for the rest of that series to be made in to a film.

The Emily series is roughly based on her. If you read any of the autobiographical stuff about LMM then you'll see some of the resemblance of Emily and LMM. :nod:
