lol - nice. i'll browse around and find it...would it help if i dont play an instrument?
I'll admit to not always liking new people at first. But only when they're ALOT smarter than me, like AP. grr
IWilKiku,
That's one of the nicest things you've said to me:)
Even if it is rather liberal with the truth:)
Didn't mean to leave you out Sub, actually you are one of the first people I encountered here, and you were very nice too.
I picture you something like a warrioress (is that a word?), sort of like a female Mad Max, driving around in a jeep, sand and dirt flying everywhere! Of course this is unrealistic, it's all in the name, you know.
Verybaddmom, I just jumped right in, I figured it's sink or swim. I'm loving it here. The people are great!
Actually I thought that AP was a woman at first and that Sub was a man.
Sub has a tendency of asking questions that I find send my poor mind into long spirals of thought into new domains. Her knowledge of music makes me feel slightly...old...I picture her young and dressed in black T-shirts and jeans. She has beautiful eyes that sparkle when she speaks.
AP is one of the few people who actually makes me irritated enough to make me admit it. :-) Usually I just skimread and ignore most things that makes me irritated on the internet - otherwise I would be mad forever. But for some reason I canīt ignore APīs posts. Itīs probably because I find his writings irresistibly witty, intelligent, attentive to details and, well, charming. Iīm just trying to adjust to the fact that you are not a woman. In my mind your name belongs to a darkhaired woman owning a bookstore with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. Itīs old and crowded and you frown at anybody who dares to buy books on religion. But you keep the books anyway- perhaps to lure in the religoius people for their justly deserved sneer-and-debate. You smoke. You know all your costumers favorite books and authors. And of course you look gorgeous.
Amuse I always pictured like a giant version of my cat, laying sensously lazy in a spot of sun. She would have the colour of gold and honey. And like my cat she would loose her balance and tumble of the windowsill in an undignified cute manner if you scratch her. For a second she would loose her pose but quickly regain it. Thatīs my picture anyway. And when the cat amuse read this she would be happy about the first part, and pretend not to read the last. She would suddenly be very busy doing something else, like chasing dust, or imaginary butterflies. Her tail might lash a bit, though.
Koaīs name and mild manner always makes me think about the sound of wild doves in the forest. She wrote once that she did not like her nickname, but I think it is sweet.
As you all can see I have a very vivid imagination but I thought you might like to share my pictures.
Oh Ap - thank you for comparing me to Bjork - and for remembering that I love to dance. Hmm. Isnīt Bjork a bit crazy?Ah well, that might be fitting as well. :-)
Well, Isagel, what can I say?
The last comment is just so true!:)
Avid non-smoker, I'm afraid.
Loved to have owned the library of Alexandria that was burnt down by those heathens in days gone by.
Having been born to parents who were both the 3rd child of 5, and with my self being the 3rd of 5 children - all boys -, I think I inherited a set of very stubborn, persistent, attention-seeking genes!:)
Hell, if I had my choice, I'd be neither man nor woman. A changeling, that's me!:)
Was it the <witty, intelligent, attentive to details and, well, charming> personality that made you think of me as a woman perchance?:)
Maybe I'm the new man! After all masculinity is in crisis, or so I hear:)
Sorry for all the smilies! It's just that I can't often take myself seriously!
Of course. That has to be it. I guess I just have to revise my poor little fantasy picture of you.Quote:

Nah. Iīll keep it. That way you can be a changling. A charming one.
Well enough of the flattering remarks. Otherwise I īll just get you smiley-ing all over the place. Canīt have that.
I just wanted to take this perfect opportunity to publicly appologize to AP, since I've already done it over the PMs. I was stressed and judged his personality too quickly because he said things that rubbed me the wrong way. Though I don't agree with everything he says, I find him to be charmingly intelligent, and posessed of the quick wit that I've always desired. I've developed a high respect for him for his "no hard feelings" attitude toward me.
Koa, I don't know where the red hair came from, I've always pictured you with dark brown hair, almost black. Maybe it's the Italy thing. You always have a welcoming smile, but I'm still intimidated because of your wealth of knowlege in reguards to languages and places. I enjoy reading your posts because I almost always learn something new.
Since grouping seemed to be approved, I would have to place Stan and Sub in one. To me, they're almost brother and sister. They have this intelligence that seems to surpass their age but their fun personalities don't make them appear very old. Faye almost fits in their family, but I agree that she has this great marshmellowy bold side that makes her a bit different.
I just like amuse, to be honest sometimes I have such a time trying to remember who is male and female, that I forgot which amuse is. He/she is very levelheaded but still good for fun ( I still keep giggling over the alphabet story game).
Thanks Shea, that was really nice.:)
(returning) It's because I'm a cat that you all forget :) (wonderful insight, Isagel).
Kik I picture as this friendly, brainy person, with a bit of hair falling over one eye. I see him walking a little faster than persons in England, and observing one and all as he sips his caffeine in the morning. Perhaps he takes notes on a napkin.
Faye has very pretty eyes. She is so sweet one forgets sometimes to be mentally alert at all times, even when eating with her. She may switch mid-bite from discussing what she had for breakfast to a discussion about why we shouldn't go to Mars, and the abysmal lack of culture and books we'll find there.
Koa I see as petite and dark. Most Italians I know are tall, except a few from the Old Country who are in their eighties. Regardless, she seems somewhere around 5;2" and constantly humming to herself in at least 5 different languages. Once in a while she suprises herself by humming in a language she's not aware of having studied. She likes to buzz around quickly when she has to go to the market.
Isagel doesn't own a parasol but would like to. I see Isagel as recently returned from musings of Impressionistic painters. She likes to wear pastel colors and talk in pastel tones. She has a warm, gentle smile. She is very open, and would be happy to discuss anything under the sun long into the wee hours with her friends.
Imthefoolonthehill is generally no different physically from any other bloke you might find in a magazine in the U.S.; I can picture him in National Geographic, epitomizing corn-fed wholesome goodness. Sometimes, however (and uncaptured in this photo) his eyes have a certain mad glint in them, and he capers around, laughing and dancing like a writer gone wild. Scary looking then. A bit inspiring.
I think Subterranean is an enigma. Musically knowledgeable, she's beyond my ken (just wanted to use that word). I think she has short hair and her fingers are blunt at the tips from all her searching for good books. They may be a bit dusty as well, when she returns from hunting at bookstores. Her eyes are very hungry and bore into you. Sometimes she will be quirky and catch you by suprise, first flip then gentle, one day long hair, the next day short and newly dyed.
Lara has a bright face and questioning eyes. She likes to ask with her eyes before using her words, and has the curiosity of a five-year old. Her laugh is silvery and warm. It makes others happy.
AP writes fast, and thinks deliberately. Has eyes that see off to the side of people. Is very at home under an umbrella. Sometimes his eyes see off to the side when he looks at himself in the mirror.
Shea plays the harp in another century as soon as her fingers touch the strings. She is soft-spoken, but chats easily and warmly with her neighbors. She likes flowers and ice tea. She looks a bit like her harp and sometimes cries when it makes certain sounds, though she doesn't know why. She is very sensitive and has a lot of dreams.
Stan is an idealist. He would be happy if everyone got along and the orchestra of life was a long happy note. His face scrunches when he ponders why people don't always get along. He loves his family.
(washing my face with one hand, and putting the mouse down with the other. mrow! time to sit on someone's book!)
amuse, I forgot to mention extremely insightful and inventive! :)
But... I always wanted to be dark and mysterious...Quote:

No pastel - I almost always dress in black or grey. But I hope the rest is right - and yes I tend to sit and talk all trough the night.
It īs a very nice picture. Now - I wonder where I could get a parasol?
I love the people here. You develop a real feel for them and their personalities, I could probably write pretty accurate descriptions, except I'm too lazy to articulate all of them. kik-marshmallow???!! I HATE MARSHMALLOWS!!!! GRRRR!!!! I'll kick your ***!!
