Can we submit two stories?

I have completed one but that one is not at all good so I am wondering, if we can submit two stories???

Each member can submit only one story for the each leg. If they cannot win, they can submit other stories for the other selections.

The first voting will take place in June, which means you can submit stories till the end of May.

We would like the stories not to have appeared anywhere else due to anonymity issues.

I agree that 2000 words is a little challenging but this is a competition and it is only natural that there should be some challenges! :) (To be honest, I am personally worried that if the stories are too long, they will not get read/voted for by other users.)

This is a very new idea and the first round of voting will take place in June.

There isn't a certain quota but usually we will have one month for the submissions. At the moment, we have already got 8 stories. If we wait for another month, there will be too many for one elimination.

To answer some questions asked:

-Those of you who have submitted stories for the May elimination can also submit new ones for June.

-Stories which have been posted on the Forum are not eligible.

-Please revise your own work and submit the final copy. Once submitted, making changes will not be possible.

It's not too short for a developed story!...then again, how do you define developed story? I think a teacher of mine said that once it has an exposition, climax, and resolution that it's a story...and we've been doing that with just 50 words. I know we're voting already, but look at the trouble some are having...I think limitations force a writer to put forth their best and only their best, leaving out, well, you know...(opinion!) ;)

I agree with you, Shannanigan, that limitations sometimes do bring out the best in us, especially creatively. Looking at the stories submitted so far, I am surprised actually that most of the stories are well below the 2000-words limit and they are not lacking for that.

Meanwhile, the on-going voting is only for the first round. There will be other elimination rounds so if you are also interested, you can submit a short story as well.
