I was once going to bed, someone needed to talk, and I stayed awake all night long to keep them company until the dawn of the other day. I very much doubt the other person would do the same for me, because when I needed it... well... I looked around and it was just me. Things happen in a very curious way. I bet they don't even remember now, but I suppose that forgetfulness is the standard in our species. Anyway, I didn't do it expecting a retribution. I just expected something different to what turned out. So yes, I can stay awake for more than 24 hours if need be.
