eight years. i lost a roll of film and only recently found it. actually, i was very surprised that the pictures turned out and doubly surprised to see that it was pictures of my son before he started school (He's in junior high school now). although i wouldnt do it again intentionally, it was quite an effective method for creating a nostalgic mood, to say the least.

Don't you feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when you've finished a project no matter how small?
-
oh yes, that's why i love doing the dishes...its a case of very instant gratification. one minute the kitchen's a huge mess, and within minutes it sparkling clean. need for sense of accomplishment satisfied.
do you have more close friends, or aquaintences, and how do you distinguish between them?
-
I have more aquaintences (even among my own family). I consider people who are close friends, those that I can share personal information with- that includes people here on the forums. I get rather nervous when I'm with a group of friends and have a hard time drawing close to them, I deal better with one on one.
Do you think hand-made gifts are better, or store-bought (even if hand-made are not very great)?
-
To Shea,
Haha, i now begin to consider you as a best friend of mine on this forum. So whatever gift you give me will be cherished in my mind, even if it's just an e-card with a few short lines.
To be frankly, i prefer the former, the hand-made gifts, even the gifts are not very great. Gifts are just symbols for friendship, to me, there's no need to send very valuable gifts between two friends. In my opinion, just a "happy birthday" or a card will be great! i think sometimes the hand-made gifts are more valuable than store-bought gits. is it right?
When you meet your net lover in the real world, and then you find he/she is not very pretty, how will you do? Will you break off with him/her, or still love him/her as you do online?
-
I'm finding you to be a good friend too, Sunny!:)
Hmm, because I'm married, I couldn't really speak for myself, but I would like to think that I wouldn't judge by looks, but remember a good conversational companion. Ever see the movie "You've Got Mail"? Even though Tom Hanks' character saw Meg Ryans' character as an enemy, he still realized that he loved her and wanted to be with her. (I love that movie!) He was even ready to marry her before he even saw who she was.
Hamburger or chicken sandwich? (I'm getting hungry)
-
Yeah, I like You've Got Mail, it's a great movie, and i like every movie starred by Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. But I couldn't understant why Meg Ryan can't get the honor of best actress of the Academy Rewards till now. She is my favorite American actress, to be exact, a goddess.
When i was watching You've Got Mail, i deeply moved and attracted by the romantic love between the hero and heroine, and i always believe this kind of romantic only can created by romantic Americans.
But one thing for sure, that is, Joe more or less cares about whether Cathy is beautiful or not, or he will not stand out of the Cafe and nervously look inside, and ask his friend, who just come out of it, "Is she beautiful?" I just remember these. Maybe i'm wrong.
So my opinion is every man likes beautiful girl, so net love affair is not credible. You've Got Mail is just a movie created by idealistic romanticists. Maybe i'm wrong once more.
To the next:
If you could have a chance to travel abroad, which countries are you most willing to visit? Why? Just choose five countries.
-
hamburger all the way shea....
and five countries that i would love to visit?
Scotland, Italy, France, Jamaica, Holland
oh, and because i want to cheat and visit six, Cuba
also, those are listed in order.
What is your favorite thing to do to unwind after a hard day?
(btw Shea, i met my boyfriend online, and we were very realistic about our self descriptions and our willingness to take us 'as we are', simply because we had such an amazing connection. We are best friends now and have an awesome ability to communicate with one another [most of the time]. and while we are not to be considered the worlds most attractive couple, i find him hugely sexy and appealing, partly because i know and appreciate his character. I think this is how it supposed to be!!)
-
Italy, Germany, Belgium, Australia, Poland
