Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm interested in literature (particularly late-Victorian) and love to discover the opinion of others.
I have an MA in English Literature and my professional background is teaching.
I hope to get involved in some real indepth literary discussions with other like-minded people.
Hallo everybody, politeness and good manners demand that I say hi to you all, which I'll gladly do. My name is Dieter, I am Austrian, not quite so young, not quite so old (37 as a matter of fact) and an eager reader and writer. If you want to know what I'm talking aboout in my work-in-progress novel, check out my weblog (you can find it in my Profile section). Good to be here, good to be with you.
As an Austrian, I'd like to stress the important input of Austrians to World literature. I'd like to praise Joseph Roth, a 20th century writer I like very much for his deep insight into human nature and his sharp analysis of the end of the Habsburg monarchy and the dismantlement of the Austro-Hungarian empire.
Hi everyone, I'm Tanya, studying Musical Theatre in London with a love of all things theatrical! I don't read or write nearly as much as I used to, but I'm having trouble finding stories that really grab my attention... I'm hoping I'll be able to get some advice on some good reading on here =)
I have discovered a new love in literature over the past 4 years. I have dabbled in writing and joined to share some of my work. I hope to learn from respectful criticism and look forward to reading other works.
Welcome to all our new people -- I know that you will enjoy every moment spent here at LitNet!
Howdy Lit-net! I used to post here as djy78usa, but have been away for a while, so I figured I'd reintroduce myself. I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.
Hello there! My name is Daniel, i'm 19 and i'm Portuguese. I was looking for a forum like this! =) FOUND IT! It's good to know that reading and writing are not forgotten...or lost.
Chello everyone! My name is Phil, I just found this website not that long ago and I'm pretty new here but I love it. I started writing when I was 13, a lot of my work got banned from school and got me in constant trouble but it never stopped me. I live in the valley in California and play in a punk rock band here, needless to say I love to write and play music. I dabble in a lot of arts and aside from the written ones I do a lot of drawing. I am an anarchist and a feminist, so I'm very political but I don't hold my beliefs against those of others. I am twenty years old and running out of things to put in my introduction lol.
Hello! I joined this site because, after reading Moby-Dick, I had a strong desire to both read people's interpretations and discuss my own. I came across this site, and seeing that it covered a wide range of literature, I decided that it would be a great place to visit.
I also have a great interest in writing, and I try to write for at least one to two hours a day.
It's nice to meet everyone.
It probably seems like I'm obsessed with Moby-Dick. :)
Hi
I am dutifully following the request to post an intro . Wasn't a stellar writer in my earlier days. Then I met a girl who had scored 800 in her English SAT. I decided to retake the test to impress her, and scored 800 in the English section.:cornut: I ran to the telephone to tell her the news only to find she had disconnected her phone:incazzato:
Four years later I sent the test results to my old high school headmaster, and presto I got paying work in the writing profession while the letter was en route. Have been writing ever since.
I joined to share a short story -my spoof on the Google Local.
If the smiley icons I put in this piece don't work just use your imagination!
There are many kind of the thread!! which one shake u well?
Iam waiting your answer to descripe that for you
good afternoon. I am a dwarf. Specifically, Grumpy. I just thought I would try this out.
Hello everyone.
I'm Raabia Hirani, final year student of BS in English Literature at University of Karachi, Pakistan.
At present I'm doing research in sufism/mysticism as result of existentialism in contemporary literature.
I'm easily distracted, mainly because I'm interested in pretty much everything. An ideal life for is one in which there is no road not taken. Which, as I've learnt, is not a very practical approach to life. Well I'm searching and learning. Thats about it
