But a cult isn't by definition about cheating people out of their money or even brainwashing them(they're about a strict devotion to something. If we took Socrates' approach, we could say that those cults that do try to scam people or brainwash them for political objectives are merely imitatorsof the true cult. And of course I would, if I had the means.

If you were to start a cult, what principals woud it be based on?
