I wouldn't feel bad. I have received PMs that I haven't replied to. Then there are those PMs I replied to that I shouldn't have.

I've not replied to some PMs and there wasn't any particular reason - it was just that there wasn't anything left to say.

Would you type a meaningless empty PM just because you felt you should? Would you go through a series of "thanks" and then "no thank you" PMs just because both parties felt obliged to respond to each and every PM?
