I may have asked this somewhere before, but I've never received a satisfactory answer: why didn't Cinderella's glass slipper turn back at midnight like all the rest of the stuff her fairy godmother enchanted?

that sounds like a point from that youtube series "everything wrong with..." sometimes they are insightful, sometimes I disagree with their points, but that's a good one.

my answer however, in keeping with the thread, would have to be-----well, its a little known fact that the movie was originally marketed to manufacturers of glass shoes in general, so the screen writers needed to keep their audience happy by the magical constancy of the glass slipper in particular. otherwise, there would have been a glass shoemaker uprising on their hands...or feet, as it were.
