Welcome Englishteacher. I hope you enjoy lit net. I think you would fit in perfectly. :)
Hello all, I'm Rena. I hold a Japanese passport, but ethnically I'm a mix of Japan and China. Been living abroad since 6, going to international schools since 4th grade. Yep, I'm a third culture kid
I read a lot of poetry and fiction, but I only write poetry and essays. My favourite poets are E. E. Cummings, Charles Bukowski, Philip Larkin and Sylvia Plath; my favourite novelists are Alan Hollinghurst and Haruki Murakami. Although I haven't read their works extensively, I also really liked what I got so far from Albert Camus and Ray Bradbury. I'm really picky on the voice of the text, which may explain the shortness of this list...
My favourite playwrights are Tennessee Williams, Sarah Kane and, of course, Shakespeare!
Looking forward to all the discussions :)
Welcome Phaedra. It sounds like you will love lit net. Make yourself at home. :)
Hi everyone. I'm new, so please be gentle. Just looking to contribute, and to appreciate those who have already contributed. I was introduced by a dear friend, a dear cousin, a writer, a lover of the literary portrait, the picture painted with words. I hope this is a good place to be

Hi Mike from Australia, join the club... And welcome to you.
Hi, I'm Kaytlyn. I'm new to this site :D
I love writing, so I'm trying to get it out there.
Hello Katlyn, welcome. Nice to see another Canuck!!
Hello,
I am a recently graduated English major who has decided to take off sometime to work and relax until I go back to earn my Masters and eventually my Ph.D. I am looking forward to engaging in some literary debate with various peoples.
Okay, well umm.
I'm Steven, an 11th grade student in California. AP classes across the board.
I break dance, and take interest in swimming, basketball, tennis, and anything physical. Sports are just that much fun to play.
I'm just a casual reader, since I don't have much time for reading. But here's a list of what I am reading.
A Tale of Two Cities (for Academic Decathlon).
Mere Christianity (For myself, and class non-fiction choice).
Candide (for myself).
Slaughter-House Five (same as above).
Seeing as how I'm not as well-read as I'd like to be, hopefully I can get some great recommendations for books.
Thanks for letting me join.
Steven.
Hi everyone. I'm new here and i'm terrible with computers XD
I study English Literature in A2 so getting integrated in a website such as this is great for me.
Although I don't know how to get around this website. How would I search for forums on a specific novel?
Thanks!
Hello. I am a middle aged software engineer. I have always been into reading, and like discussing characters, their motivations, the authors intent, and so on. Please feel free to dispose of any of my opinions.
