Hello there.
My name is Alex, and I am a literaholic.
Ha...
Anyway, I enjoy writing, reading, and talking utter bollocks.
Good day!
Hi again after an absence of 3 years.:D
Hello people! :)
Let me see... I'm a college freshman with an elementary education major, a dedicated reader, and an aspiring author. I love to talk about books, and crave the thrill of finishing my own books. Right now I'm praying that I edit my latest manuscript well so I can start sending out those submissions. It's always been my dream to be a published writer. For now though, I'm content to write for pleasure and collect good books to read.
It's so hard to pick a favorite book, especially since I only became addicted to reading a few years ago. Of the books I've read so far, I greatly enjoyed Dracula (Bram Stoker), Watership Down (Richard Adams), Sharpe's Rifles (Bernard Cornwell), and Out of the Silent Planet (C.S. Lewis). As far as nonfiction goes, my most profitable read by far has been the life-changing work The Imitation of Christ by the monk Thomas a'Kempis.
Hiya! I'm a mid-30s female from Austria who loves books and loves writing. I guess I'll be snooping around as I tend to like reading what people have to say about books more than I like actually reading them.
I would just like to say hello and hope to call in here quite often.
Hi, I'm a high school student and I love reading and writing. Some of my other favourite things include ballet (I'm a professional dancer when not in school) and drama. I look forward to being a part of this site and hope to contribute to the site in some small ways.
Hey, everyone!
After reading threads on DH Lawrence and Emily Bronte, I decided I'd sign up to online-literature. And now here's my first post: a quick introduction!
I'm still at school, studying Maths, Physics and Latin and plan to go to uni next year to study Maths, so I haven't experienced quite as much of life as some of you or read so many books either!
There are so many authors that I love: I couldn't begin to list them! At the minute I'm reading Women in Love by DH Lawrence. I read The Rainbow earlier this year and loved it so much. DH Lawrence has such an ability to express deep thoughts and ways of thinking!
But I'll save my opinions for the relevant forums. :)
hello .........came here for discussion on books which i dont understand......:)so any help from the members will be good for me i'm a voracious reader and like to read all kinds of books any suggestions are also gladly received thank you.........:)
I am Ramgopal Rao from Pune, India - a confirmed bibliophile with a mania for collecting Books ! I have a personal collection of over 4000 Books in my Personal Library !!

Greetings.
My name is Dave and I love to read and write. I joined this forum because I don’t read enough of the really good stuff so maybe hanging out here will prompt me in that direction. One never knows.
Hello All!
At the beginning of this year, I lost my job and like so many others, I have ended up ina situation where one is left with few choices (as regards to work).
Therefore, I applied to college for entry to the Access to Higher Education for mature students, from which I will hopefully gain the diploma which will give me matriculation to gain entry to University.
I decided to study English, or at least an english related degree.
So, that is the reason for my joining this forum!
Hope to have fun here!
Neil
Hi,
Have you considered the Open University? It's much cheaper than a traditional university as it's mainly self-study and you are free to get a day job.
Anyway, good luck with your studies.
Hi Dave,
What do you like to read at the moment?
