Wonderful writer... her poem bespeaks of age that creeps up on one upon kittens' toe beans.

Missed some references, enjoyed the poem though!

"Farewell, I leave thee to the world of air, / Yet thou hast girded up my heart again; / For He that framed the impenetrable plan, / And keeps His word with thee, will keep with man." Delightful poem :)

"Strong and slippery, built for the midnight grass-party confronted by four cats,"."Peter" by Marianne Moore

I've admired MM's enjambment for quite some time now :) An odd poem for a cat, somber in tone... Enjoyed :)
"The Moon is like a ping-pong ball;" - Robert William Service; Moon-Lover ... https://www.poemine.com/Robert-Willi...oon-Lover.html
Agree with the somber ton. Maybe the cat as self defending survivor in a hostile world.
Loved the playfully serious ton of the moon poem and the reference to the alliance between moon and madness!

Difficult poem to understand, the summary page does it justice but I think it's a poem that everyone who reads it will have a different interpretation... which is fine. Enjoyed :)
"Vexing the water with its shadow, the heron told her where to fish" - Carol Frost; HELP? or The Heron?... for the life of me I CAN NOT FIND THE URL... and now I can't find the first line... I will continue to research... but here you are.
Agree. This broken sintax makes reading difficult.
Found several poems by Carol Frost but none with this first line. But ok.
