Haha, I would never be able to pull either of those off. I wear these mostly:

They're really padded and boyish, so they make your feet look bigger than they are which sort of looks a bit little-kid-ish. I like to wear them with soft, fuzzy white socks all rolled down to the ankle and poking just above the lip of my shoes. If you wear them with a lacy pink skirt like this one:

I see you are the person I should be going to for fashion advice, Juniper. Any ideas for people who are slightly older (not more diginified, just older)?

Those shoes are cute, ladies, but I refuse to wear shoes that make me feel off balance. Give me tennies or clogs any day.

Actually, yeah. I can't wait until I'm older so that I can get away with great fashion. I won't be able to pull off expenesive shoes, real jewlery, nice blazers or lovely hats and gloves until I grow out of looking like a fifteen year old and develop some class in my face:

I obviously won't be able to pull off the cutesy look anymore, my style will change. You can stop dicking around and focus on doing things well when you don't look like a little kid. If you're too young and you're using a look that's way too "mature" for you, you end up looking kind of creepy:

Juniper - Makes me think of how I used to dress. Now I'm stuck looking like a grown up :lol: I still look in the mirror and wonder just when that change happened.

Does anyone know where I can get some cool vintage tees that don't have things like "Red Hot" blazoned across the breasts? I love the jeans, vintage tee, and blazer look for work. I just keep having problems finding shirts that are appropriate. I'm in a pretty casual atmosphere so I can get away with casual and trendy. Mostly I just need to look like I care about what I go out of the house in.

You chose well, grasshopper. I love those slightly fitted sweaters they used to wear. Those go nicely with jeans, and a blazer if appropriate, for a kind of uptown look for day or a casual evening.

And the eastern clothing, that just kind of grazes ones, um, curves. I see that just because I'm now a grownup I don't have to eschew color, and it doesn't necessarily have to be shapeless, to pretty and even elegant.

In answer to your question, I don't know LadyLuck. I gather you've looked in some vintage clothing stores? I'm not sure t-shirts were a staple for woment at least until the sixties.

Socks work well too.

Scarves, not so much. I find them extraneous, papaya, they just get in the way Isadora Duncan was killed by a scarf if I remember rightly.

scarfs are for cold weathers not fashion, I don't get these pictures why wear a scarf when it's hot outside?
