Congratulations to Kiltedexile, who is the winner of our World Cup Game and, also, congratulations to MarkBastable and Hillwalker, who predicted Spain as the World Cup winner.
I am glad Spain won the Cup; they played better than Holland on the day. However, as far as finals go, it was not an exciting match.
Forlan got the Golden Ball and Thomas Muller, the Golden Boot. What do you think?
This has been one of the most enjoyable tournaments for me. There were so many unexpected results.

I really enjoyed the tournament - largely because it didn't run entirely to form, and there was a lot of good football. This was a good thread too!

The ball did some very odd things. Goals from free kicks are usually a feature of the world cup, they were rare this time. The ball sailing high and wide is an abiding image of this tournament.
