thanks tailor, and im happy to tell you I have the first four. so when im finished with ttifany's i'll give book #2 a shot.
hmm, I wonder if maybe you misunderstood my question? you've seen James hong in hundreds of movies?
let see---grinch, lorax, Horton, green eggs, cat hat, cat back, one fish two fish, so 7. was go dog go a dr seuss book?
how many dr seuss movies have you seen?
-
James Hong has been in 500+ movies... he's everywhere !
"Horton Hears a Who", "The Grinch", "Cat in the Hat", "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", "The 5,000 Fingers Of Dr. T"... guess I haven't seen "The Lorax" 'cause it doesn't ring a bell... that makes 5.
So, "we have all watched movies that has the same actor in it---how many times has a particular actor appeared the most in your movie watching" other than James Hong ?
-
heck tailor I cant even picture James hong. i'll have to look him up next time im at the library...
the lorax---"I speak for the trees!"
its a tie between abbott and Costello in however many movies they made, ~24.
second place lags way behind and id guess its john wayne, Harrison ford, tom hanks, or Sylvester Stallone, with an outside chance of Keanu reeves and Arnold schwarzenegger.
how many times do you think you'll go out to the movies this summer?
-
Maybe one. Indiana Jones sounds good... and maybe that anywhere somewhere timeshare? movie if it's still playing.
How many of this year's best picture Oscar nominees' movies have you seen ?
-
I confess tailor I don't pay any attention to the academy awards so I never know whats been nominated. although I recently saw someone on jeopardy who in the anecdote/get to you know me part of the show mentioned she's made a point of watching every single "best picture" dating back to the beginning. I half think too that, my movie tastes are different than the academy's so the overlap would generally be small. id guess 0, maybe 1 or 2 at most but I wouldn't know which ones!
how many of the "fast and furious" movies have you seen?
-
googling "fast and furious"... hmmm, I viewed most of Fast Five at my sister-in-law's home, the one in Rio where they steal a safe from the police... (1)
How many years since you flew a kite ?
-
ive only seen 1 if hobbs and shaw count, but im not sure it does.
oh boy, wayyyyyyyy too many, probably 4 dozen at least. I have a pretty good yard for kite flying. maybeeeeee….
how about you?
-
About the same :(
How many coins are in your pocket right now ?...
If zero how long ago, the last time, did you have coins in your pocket ?
-
no coins right now, but I had some yesterday. so just 1 day. they don't stay there long though. when i get home i put them in a large antique jug with the intent of doing what with them when its full i know not yet.
if you were listening to instrumental versions of your favorite songs, for how many of them could you complete all (or most) of the lyrics?
-
songs: Not too many... my memory isn't as good as it used to be and now that I'm back in our choir it's proving to be problematical :(
How many rechargeable batteries are you reusing in your residence ?
-
no teleprompters in the choir! but surely songbooks yes?
just 4, and I think they are in a flashlight and an electric toothbrush, both of which I barely use.
imagine the tv shows you used to watch/still watch are of actual people and places, how many of them would you have liked to have been a part of?
ps: am reading the short stories in my breakfast at tiffany's book and when im through with that, i'll start the next oz book!
-
songbooks: My sight is rapidly degenerating (a whole lotta Ctrl + going on web-browsing); my printed copy of last Sunday's selection had to be noted and marked everywhere due to all the key changes and timings (I don't read music)... 'twas a very tricksie piece for basses. Luckily I was sent an .mp3 of the bass part to study. I could barely read out of my hymnal for the prelude song.
oz: :)
telly: hard to tell... been binging Barney Miller lately, nearing the end :( ... that would be a kick... Gilligan's Island (lol). To be part of all the Scifi shows would be cool as long as I didn't have to wear a red shirt.
How many people on Gilligan's Island can you relate to favorably ?
-
that's tough tailor, im sorry to hear that.
before I pick up oz I might finish my elvis Presley book too. its been really slow going and ive gotten to the point now where im just perusing stuff in order to move the story along. theres just way too much information.
there is a funny scene in the star trek reboot where kirk tells Chekov to go put on a red shirt, and Chekov kinda gulps and looks nervous, letting the fans know he knows that its not a good thing!
that's a fun question---on at least a distant level id say all of them, with mr and mrs Howell being a reach, and maybe Gilligan too a bit. how many times did he wreck their chances for rescue? 143?? in some ways, the skipper is a saint! the professor annnnnd mary annnn however are easy ones. i can easily imagine being friends with them, having them as neighbors, etc. skipper and ginger in the middle and who wouldn't want ginger as a neighbor??
how many series still out there to be binged-watched?
-
re: binge - hard to say, keep finding stuff and keep re-watching stuff :)
How many jigsaw puzzles have you completed in the last 10-years ?
-
a little while ago, last I looked, the local thrift store had the entire Hogan's heroes collection. next time im there i'll peek to see if they still have it.
zero jigsaw puzzles, but interestingly, my local library has a table set up for ongoing jigsaw puzzlers. there are at least 3 people who come in regularly, and add pieces over time until its completed, and the next one takes its place. the library actually loans out puzzles.
how many animals' names do you remember from all the tv shows/movies you've watched?
