I know my dog gets an upset stomach because she refunds her food and I know she dreams because her little paws move and sometimes she'll bark in her sleep, so do dogs get headaches? Also, if humans only use 10% of their brain power does that apply to other mammals as well?
probably but my dog gets the hiccups... hes funny like that :goof:
Tomorrow is the midvinterday. The darkest day of the year here. The sun rises at 8:37 and sunset is at 14:48. But after that it will start to get brighter again! If you are not in Keinovuopio, our most northern village. They are in for 6 weeks of night.
That´s my random thought for today. Things could always look darker. You could be in Keinovuopio.
Well papaya, I am guessing they do get headaches.Quote:

"If I sit next to Chewbacca, does that make me Han solo?"
And this is my 1000th post on the forum...
Here I am writing post after post,
Adding up to a thousand.
The amount of time wasted on the net
Surely totally irrelevant!
.
Heh, Sche, one night/post more and the sultan or whatever shall grant you freedom.
Btw. We have always wandered if Sche had had writers block when telling those stories. It could have been very exciting.
Haha Tal! I am not sure if it is Scheherazade who is gaining her freedom or the Sultan losing his after the 1001th night!
I guess if she had had the writer's block, there she wouldn't have been around to see it through the 1001 nights;it is hard to tell stories when your body and head are seperated, you see...
Yes, but it is so sweet to imagine. Perhaps she had writers block like from 8.00 till 19.00 and then *whoa* inspiration.
*imagines how Sche is in panic because it is 18.30 and she hasn't got a single idea for a story*
Random Thought: I've probably seen the movie Fight Club more than 50 times by now, easily, and more than 5 with the commentaries. I must be addicted.
Yes, actually, come to think of it that might explain the sudden appearances of fairies and what not in the stories..Quote:

Well, to be fair I'm actually addicted to the author Chuck Palahniuk whom wrote the book the movie was based on, but the movie was my gateway drug into his world of work. So if ever I'm too tired to pick up his books and read a few pages, I just watch the movie again. hehe
Great movie. I never read the book, but I think I have it.
Dyrwen! :D How the heck are ya? Long time no posteeee!

You must be a `morning' person then ;)

Mm.. I could die happy with a sausage mcmuffin in my stomach, long as I got one of them hash browns too. So.. unhealthy, for fast food, but so... good.
Just had a bowl of olives. Don't even know why.
*ponders*
I will blame AP for this... :D (re. winter blues)
Hope you saved one for me. On second thoughts, maybe you could just save the stone and grow it in my cemetery so that I could eat olives through the summer.
I have always fancied a willow tree overlooking my tomb... Olive tree never crossed my mind.
We are depressed.
There are so many little things that depress a bit so that together they make up a frustration.
First, We cannot go to countryside for winter solstice/christmas. Grandma broke her hip and is therefore in the city with us and We cannot go to the countryside. No forests. No knee-deep snow. No silent snow-covered meadows. City.
Second, this awful plastic shopping holiday which you feel extremely intensely when you're in the city.
Third, We have grown up. We do not believe in Christmas anymore. No anxiousness. Just tediousity, knowledge and pain.
Fourth, We are telling this stuff here like a stupid whining six-year-old.
...it is okay to whine like a six-year old, Taliesin. do it anytime if it helps.
i just saw the most sublime thing in my monitor, which acts as a mirror of sorts: a bit of motion behind me (have never noticed this before) and a tiny bird hopping on my window sill - this from behind a window screen (or in front, whichever way you consider the outdoors to be located), which happily enough have tree branches silhouetted on them. what a splendid little movie for my Christmas morning. okay, i am going to leave now or i won't be ready when my ride comes.
Season's Best to Everyone.
So I stopped using hair gel like a couple of years ago. But I was recently informed that my hair is thin, and that I do not need to use conditioner because it makes it look flat. So I started using this really nice hair cream that Santa brought me a few Xmas'es back. I have been putting a little in my hair after each shower, instead of using conditioner. It moisturizes and strengthens my hair. Well, this morning, I used the last of this hair cream, which I have had for years. And I do not know where to buy some more.
This sad chain of events calls for an emoticon... :'(
Can't you just Google the name of the product and see if any stores are nearby?
Dyrwen, that is probably a very good idea. Thanks. Meanwhile, you're gonna send me to some hair stylist that has seven ladies getting their hair done as I walk up to the counter and ask for styling cream. And if there's a good looking girl in there, Dyrwen, you're in big trouble.
Eyyy, I've been getting my hair done by women for the past 8 years. They appreciate a man willing to put some thought into his hairstyle. heh
hehehehe, if you don't mind me asking... what does your hair look like? ie what's your hairstyle? :p

It's kind of like this.
But my hair is parted on one side and really falls kind of flat to my head. It's also a few inches longer. And brown.
OK, in short, your hair doesnt look anything like 'this' ;) Who is the fella in the photo then?
That's what I'm wondering???????
I'm such a wiseguy. Sorry.
Jay! check out Dyrwens' website link on his profile, he's got pics on it and he's a real cutie ;)

Well, I couldn't very well let Den call me a cutie without foiling the preconceived notion of me in people's minds. heh
Drywen, has also has created some sweet* looking drawings.
* cool
The drawings are anything but sweet :). I like the eye drawing a lot, it's cool.
