Doesn't George Bush waffle! Although I don't live in America, we seem in England to get to hear a lot of his speeches..cos he does speech an awful lot doesn't he...and on and on and on! Is anyone awake in America when he has finished? I think he just loves the sound of his own voice..and he's so sentimental! I guess they use an awful lot of hankies in the white house. Do you have 'hankies' in America?
I don't know anything about his sentimentality. But he has all reasons to love the sound of his own voice. I also find it nice.
For waffle I have to have a look at a dictionary.

I think Banu is a lovely name too, btw. It sounds exotic, because it isn't a common sound to hear in English. As with any name, though, whether that's good or bad depends on the feelings of the person named. I think it sounds elegant and mysterious. :)
re: the shrub's (little bush's) voice, i find it THE most grating on the planet; i have to turn the radio to a different station if i hear it for more than 10 seconds.

No I don't mean your choice is a pity, I mean the admin's refusal to consider contemporary political discussion is a pity - even within the context of lit. Hey I never meant to lead to the political..talking about George Bush..I dont understand American politics anyway - but I reckon Mr Bush is good at telling bedtime stories..have the kids asleep in no time, and everyone else. I really am surprised that discussing religion is allowed on here (though I am glad that it is) when politics isn't allowed because in my experience people can get as heated..and perhaps even more heated discussing religion as they do discussing politics. I've found the worst places for argument are Christian discussion lists. I avoid them now as I find many people have closed minds not given to considering other points of view or even allowing them. Perhaps political discussion gets to be the same? Does any one know any good, friendly places for general discussion on the internet?
