I've had the flu :bawling: so water only!
This fully washable keyboard is on my list of things to buy! :p
A nice cup of Earl Grey tea rescued from the garbage heap by the watchful eyes and deft hands of yours truly (he says whilst spilling tea all over himself).
Sorry about your flu, Logos. I have a friend who claims that ginger tea will solve that problem in ridiculously large doses. Take this advice with a grain of salt, as my friend is very into herbology. She claims to know of certain plants that can kill cancerous tumors. I've seen her produce tea out of nothing but a cup of hot water and a lawn.
How did the tea end in the garbage?
In the hazy aftermath of flu, I've ventured to a little apple sauce and bland rice with boiled chicken :cold: though heck ya to avoid that all again I would try anything and I love ginger, I have some, maybe if I boil some in water? or grate it into the rice, I've heard that ginger is good for upset stomach.
Hope you get better soon, Logos!
I am having tea and GrApEs
I work in a grocery store and was instructed to throw out a bunch of expired food, among it a tin of Earl Grey. It was indeed past the date on the tin, but I'm not sure why there is a date in the first place, as tea doesn't expire. I got some free tea though, so I'm not about to question it.
Thank you, my brain and stomache are well recovering
Oh geeze and here I am .. the first thought that came to mind was you sitting there in Starbucks waiting patiently and.. oh nevermind  I have seen the incredibly vast amounts of perfectly good food removed from grocery shelves because of expiration dates, some of it goes to food banks, I guess companies are just `protecting themselves' though its a bit of overkill.
My husband works at a grocery warehouse and if a box falls and gets damaged in some way, they not only get rid of the box, but all it's contents as well which seems absolutely ridiculous to me, however, we do sometimes get some free stuff from it so I suppose I shouldn't complain. ;)
You're making me hungry (thirsty?) for tea now, Cuppajoe, I think I'm going to have to go get me some to go with my whole grain wheat thins, although I think I'm going to go with licorice tea instead of Earl Grey.
And Logos, I hope you feel better soon. There's nothing worse than the flu, you have my most heart felt sympathies.
Grocery stores throw away enormous amounts of food. If a package is damaged in shipping we throw away the contents and send back the packaging for a refund. I had to dispose of a 10kg bag of sugar with a small tear in it. In that particular case, however, I gave the sugar to a couple of fellow staff members, who then had to walk home, past the police station, carying five killograms of a white powdery substance in unmakred transparent bags.
