Forrest Gump. A perfect 10/10
Gee, I wish I could answer this first question, Sir Bartholomew, but I have not seen this film now for about 25 yrs. - no lie. Now I am giving away my age.:( This is the original film, correct? Who stars in it - wasn't it David Hemmings? I guess I will have to track this film down and rewatch it soon. I do vaguely recall the last part you are describing; yes that was quite 'hair-raising' indeed. The idea of the film was a very cool one, at the time. Now it has probably been copied over and over again. Still I really liked it I recall, when I first saw it in the theater. Other than a few things about it basically the movie is a blur to me now.
yes the one with Hemmings and Redgrave. it still feels like a new movie if compared to the movies released these days. Austin Powers shame on you!
Was it Vanessa Redgrave, or sister Lynn? Gee, I have a good memory - recalling David Hemmings - reason I do recall the name and the actor was because a friend of mine in college was gaw-gaw over him. If a guy at our school remotely looked like him, she went after the guy. That is so funny to remember now. That film must go back to about early 1970's?
it was in the 60s at the height of swinging london. the lead actress was played by Vanessa Redgrave. Hemmings looks funny and he's clearly the one made fun of by Mike Myers: the cameras and all.
Now that is an obscure fact, Antiquarian. Maybe you recalled the name by association - sounds similar to the woman in "Candide".;) What was her name? That is funny, recalling it out of the clear blue; sometimes, I do wonder about our computer-like brains...things seem to float around in them and suddenly they just surface. I am surprised I recalled Hemmings name. Newer films I grope at what the name can be. I even can picture just what Hemmings looked like the time of that film. I can usually picture an actory/actress but I get a mental block as to the name. Happens all the time to me. Guess I am just a visual type person....right brain/left brain kind of thing.
Antiq, know how I can get the film "Blow-up"? I would like to see it again.

There is one TINY thing that made me deduct that tenth of a point, but it isn't that horrible. So, yeah, I guess I will give it 10/10. What the heck? I enjoyed it! :D
