A poem bequeathed to Malcolm X that he carried in his pocket, a gift given to him by his sister, Ella Collins: If by Rudyard Kipling - "If you can keep your head when all about you"... https://martinnguyen.substack.com/p/...colm-x-carried
Lol! Creative solution for publishing a legit "I" poem under "x".
"Ye brave old fig-trees! worthy pair!"."The Fig-Trees of Gherardesca" by Walter Savage Landor

This poem resonates within my soul... my two fig trees were among the trees that were sacrificed for fire abatement, without my knowledge (sigh). Enjoyed :(

http://www.poetryatlas.com/poetry/po...yme-regis.html

It would flash the map for a moment then give me an error:
"This page can't load Google Maps correctly.
Do you own this website? OK"
Enjoyed the poem and the Jane Austin reference... was disturbed by the lack of an end quote (lol) :) "Lyme Regis is a town in west Dorset, England, 25 miles west of Dorchester and east of Exeter. Sometimes dubbed the "Pearl of Dorset", it lies by the English Channel at the Dorset–Devon border. It has noted fossils in cliffs and beaches on the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site and heritage coast." Wikipedia
"Don’t go in search of the perfect" - Kai Carlson-Wee; Bracken... https://poets.org/poem/bracken
Same here but the poem is visible. The site is curious: sometimes I can read the poem sometimes not for copyright reasons.
Enjoyed Bracken, but things aren't easy:"The worm lives a whole year in darkness".
"Each saucy cit who strolls from town"."Written near Bath, 1755

True... poetry doesn't always come in bright circumstances.
