oou, good one. I think so. I'm trying to think of all 11: wry smile, half smile, big ole toothy smile, grin, job interview smile, flight attendant "Bye-bye" smile, Your joke stunk but I'm going to smile anyway so's not to hurt your feelings but I don't want to laugh because your joke stunk - smile, I'm smelling warm bread smile, sexy smile, devious smile, Uh-oh I think I just crapped my pants smile. Did 'em all?
If the house were on fire and you only had time to grab one thing before the whole joint came crashing down, what would it be? (All pets and relatives have already absconded)
btw I think I get your siggy, Infact, I think I said it yesterday when I was changing my brakes.
-
My harp, of course!:)
When did you first learn to swim?
-
well it was really fun. i learned to swim late, when i was 13 or so, just into high school. my cousin used to take me to a river and he wud take me into the water and put me somewhere i wud have a stand but deep water surrounding. i had no option but to swim across to land. sometimes i stay there but i get bored and then i'll plunge into the water. after some thrashing on the water n bubbling up water, cousin swim near and hold me.. thatz how i learnt swimming,,
do you cry? how often? when, why..
have you laughed when you r crying,,
-
I cry when I'm stressed, so I usually don't laugh. I hardly ever cry when I'm happy, but sometimes I feel like I should. I didn't cry at my wedding because I was so happy, but I'd always seen brides cry, and felt like I should too. I'm sure I felt the same strong emotions, I just didn't need to cry about them.
Ever feel like you're in a movie?
-
No, not really. My life is way too boring.
If you were in a movie now, what background music would be playing?
-
The Poseidon Adventure theme. I don't frickin know, I've been sitting at a computer for three hours -- I think the audience has left by now. :p :D
What are you supposed to be doing right now, instead of wasting your time on the forum? :p
-
packing and sorting, preparing for upcoming move. oh and also finishing laundry and packing for this weekends trip out of town (i have to work tomorrow and friday, must be ready to go today!)
yikes i have to go...
could you NOT post for a week, if you had computer access and the only reason to not post was to see if you could go without?
-
I'm at work. I'm suppossed to be sorting out the formula for one of our products (chemicals).
holistic doctor or MD?
-
holistic doctor if i could find one in this podunk town....
refer to the above question about the ability to withdraw.
-
opps, yep I could not post for a week....(check my post count)
Same question
-
Hell, no. :D The only no-posting time I have coming up is a family reunion in Virginia the weekend of June 19. Not looking forward to that one. :(
Have fun packing, VB. ;) hmm...
When you pack for a trip, do you put all the shirts together, socks together, etc. in the suitcase, or just stuff them all in where they'll fit?
-
i pack stuff into outfits...these pants with this blouse with these socks and those shoes etc. i even will take the jewelry for a specific outfit and put it into a baggie and twist tie it onto the hangers....
i know pathetic, but then i know that i wont end up where im going and say "oh...i have these jeans and nothing to wear with them...."
how much do you pack for one weekend?
-
Depends where I'm going and if I have to go to church or out to dinner while I'm there. Or if I don't know how hot it'll be, I pack extra weather-alternative clothing. But usually an outfit for each day, an outfit for the trip back, one thing of pj's, and extra socks and underwear. And a book. And any miscelaneous bottles of chemical stuff I need (i.e. soapy-type things).
When you take a vacation, how long do you usually spend there?
-
my last dozen or so vacations have been just weekend trips, so three days (the long distance relationship thing.) but we are planning a week in cuba for next winter (have to get security clearance first) and then two weeks in France next year.....
what is your favorite kind of vacation? (beach mountains etc?)
-
Any foreign country, but preferably colder. (If it's summer here, much much colder.) Usually our only trips are a week in VA at the grandparents' though. Blah.
Do you go with a list of touristy things you want to see, or prefer to wander around discovering the everyday places in the area, or just relax inside, or what?
-
oh i'd much prefer to wander around seeing things the way they really are. however, when we go to Italy, i know that there are places i WANT to go: Bridge of Sighs and Juliet's Balcony for sure.
trains planes or automobiles? (in foreign countries)
-
Trains. Planes you don't see anything, cars you cause a ten-car pile-up trying to learn all the local traffic laws and customs. On trains people try to steal your seats and money and you get in arguments in languages you don't understand, and all sorts of interesting things like that. :D
Are you comfortable ordering food if you don't understand what the menu says?
-
oooh, i dont know. i guess that i would carry a translation dictionary and i have more than enough french to get me by (provided the menu is in french!), but i think i would order something, and then sort of deal with the result. if i couldnt recognize it, then maybe i would try it anyway. nothing ventured and all....
would you eat something if you didnt know what it was?
-
Probably not. I don't even like eating most things I'm familiar with. :D I'm pickier than a toddler.
Do you routinely IM with people you've only met online? (not forum PM's)
-
yes...all the time. there are a number of members from this forum that i message outside of the forum. and also, my bf and i met online, so i think there is alot to be said for relationships and friendships that start only using your mind and typing ability and faith in that persons habit of using truth.
do you ever wonder what your pet would say if he/she all of suddden developed the abilty to talk?
-
How apt. Yesterday afternoon Stuffy came in with a nose filled with dry blood and a puncture wound in his shoulder. The vet gave us clavimox and medicine for his shoulder, but he kept saying, "I wish he could tell us what happened." Right now he's lying on a pile of my clothes in my room, but he won't eat or drink and he can't walk very well. :( :( :(
So, yes, I wonder what he would say. :)
If your pet comes and talks to you in a different room from the thing he wants, do you understand what he's asking for?
-
with my cat, yes... with my dog... no.
-
^ question?
I'll ask it then.
The price of a 1-pint milk is $1.09
How come you can get away paying $1.10 but not $1.08?
How unfair is that?
-
a pint... of milk??? it comes in Pints??? (thinks of hobbits)....
We get it in gallons....
Why did no one respond to my opiate of the masses thread? Too good for me?
-
Yes I am to god for you. (actually I just responded)
Do all good artists have to be "tortured souls"?
-
Depends what you mean by "good art." I've seen a looooot of crappy "tortured soul" art. But I still tend to find it more appealing than happy flowers. Maybe the tortured just have more images in their head to art about, or a greater need to express their deeper feelings.
Do you hear sounds in your dreams?
-
i've heard clarion notes from trumpets, and guitar music like jimi's only never released it here (earth). so, yeah. :)
have you ever woken someone up to chat because you forgot to phone them during their time zone's waking hours?
-
Yes, but they wouldn't admit to it.
Did you really feel bad when it happened to you?
-
It's never happened to me. I avoid the phone like the plague.
Do you take online quizzes even when you know what your answer will be?
-
sometimes...
do you find that dorky?
-
-
only because it interests me.
did you think I did?
-
i kind of thought you did...
what time is it where you are?
-
-
11:32
are you always this quick?
-
no. I'm usually very slow.... in more ways than one... it comes with being a hick from the sticks.
-
is that why you forgot the question?
-
I didn't forget it... you just didn't see it.
is that why you forgot the answer?
-
that must be it (*wink wink*)
could you please repeat the question? in visible ink this time?
-
What a mean lad. :p
How soon do you usually call someone back after you get their answering machine message?
