Oh dear, not my cup of tea at all! Utterly monotonous, though not actually unpleasent - it's the sort of music you might get in an elevator... 2/10.
Hmm, how will this one fare:

Not bad, but not something I'd have on the MP3 7.5/10.

Groovy 7/10

Very nice sound.

Don't dig these guys. 4/10.

Strangely baroque and indie, a beautiful and ingenious juxtaposition.
9.75/10

I can't stand Colin Meloy's voice, the video quotes heavily Wes Anderson's Rushmore, have they paid the copyright? 6/10

It was all right. Enjoyed the melody for most part: 4/10.

Marginally less irritating now than it was when it was new. 4/10
Here's one that is much loved by myself and my younger daughter, Grace. It never fails to me move me to a not-unmanly tear. Sometime soon I'll post the one that's special to my elder daughter, Eleanor.
(Yes - a tear. Me. Imagine.)
like it. 8.5/10.
Here's one:

I found the subtextual juxtaposition of cotton, images of African-Americans in fields and singing about the 'ole' times' to be a little bit subversive, but maybe that's just me and merely unintended. Either way, I'm not that into country anyway. 2/10
This is such a touching and haunting song, and truly a fine eulogy from one of America's greatest artists. I'm not much of a sentimental guy with music, but I usually almost cry when I hear this. Stranger than ever that this is actually a cover of a Nine Inch Nails song, it fits him perfectly and makes it extremely personal and powerful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clq01TXQR0s
Not really my genre, but I found it rather moving. It is subtle and profound - 7.5/10.
It reminded me of this song, though they're actually quite different:

I love all kinds of music, but for some reason most country just can't appeal to me. I love the classic tracks of Johnny Cash of course, and Taylor Swift is quite nice, but most of it just doesn't connect to me unfortunately. Love folk though, lol. 2/10
On the other hand, this does: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEC8nqT6Rrk
Love Miles Davis!

Too many chicks, not enough Dixie. 5/10.

Not bad, 7/10.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo6bf88iHHU
Not bad, but not massively memorable. Plus, it sounds like the singer is having a small stroke after each verse... 6/10.
Okay, time for some real cheese:

Moldy cheese. 3/10.

Wonderful, as they usually are. 9/10
Let's have some more.
Love it!

Let's keep the laughs going.

Good stuff! Not 'real' music, but funny - 8/10.
On the theme of funny songs:

I love Lehrer! Not a bad pianist either. 8/10
Here's musical parody at its best (not as effective if you haven't seen the original). Kinda long yes, but its digressions are brilliant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmGVYki-oyQ
I pretty much despise Weird Al, but this was surprising. The writing was really tight and well-observed. It probably helps that I have no idea what he was parodying. 7/10
To get away from funny, let's go to Zeppelin - whom I respect, without being moved most of the time. But if I could have had anyone's life in the seventies, it would have been Robert Plant's.
Great voice, great guitarist, but I remain, as always, unmoved. 5/10.

Beautifully shot video of a slick performance of a disappointingly banal song.... 3/10
This is so familiar that it's difficult to get past the easy shrug in order to see how extraordinary a song it is, especially composed and performed by middle-class English teenagers....
Led Zeppelin, a band I just can't get too into for some reason, 6.5/10
Edit: On the other hand, I love "All Right Now" haha 8/10.
Since you're not familiar with the musical monstrosity that is Trapped in The Closet.

Hahaha, yes, what was R. Kelly thinking? That said, you've gotta love how unconsciously ridiculous and camp it is. 5/10
Btw, WTF is up with this indifference to Zeppelin? Damn man, don't get me started on Zeppelin.

Ah, the bucolic pleasures of the Indigo Girls. 8/10.

nice effort but very far from the best songs he has written 6/10

Agreed. And you've just posted a song that is very close to the best. Love this version. 10/10.

One of my favorite songs:

I'll admit it, Kiss is a bit of a guilty pleasure, 7/10.
Was listening to this on my ipod earlier today, another guilty pleasure:

Receptionist at the office (singing): Is this burning an eternal flame?
Me (in passing): More likely cystitis, I'd've thought.

OK Prince song, 6/10.

I'm enamored of the vintage late 70s anime style in this video, supervised by the great Leiji Matsumoto.
Video was pretty good -- the song was. . .not my thing.
3/10

I have to say the same haha, not my kind of music 4/10.

This is another stellar video, directed by Michel Gondry, great work.
Extraordinary video. Unforgiveable singer. It's like listening to a nine-year-old performing Songs from Broadway Shows to a captive audience at her birthday party. I blame the parents. 1/10
The message of this is not entirely up my philosophical street, but you can't beat the performance.
