Orphan child you smile
yet the road few travel looms
have a bite to eat
pink hair and piercings
change not what is inside you
beneath the tattoos
your dark circles tell
you are not as you appear
confident, maybe?
a place for you here
self-proclaimed child of the road
Great Spirit keep watch

Snow circles its way
gently around sagging trees
at dawn...all is new.
nice one ala
a morning carafe
glistens, filled with a season
ripe to be settled
held each other close
tumbled around in a slur
can it be called love?
rain on stiffly
engine putters wryly home
that's the end of it!
summer sun blazing,
clouds gather, a wasp lingers,
argent sky shimmers.
every moment gone
as time fades beyond this place
yet i remember...
walk with me a while
in the light before the dawn
and feed me your dreams
pleased with herself my
cats rusty-squeak purrs reach a
satisfied thrumming
rollicking trimly
in a keen place of business
minding the beeswax
