Michael Angelo painted
in his shanty humble flat -
a cathedral in his mind
with a fervent brush attack
Angelic inspiration flamed
for his lofty spiral tower
from his palette verdigris !
of which he had no lack
The nave he splashed
neon yellow then deftly drew
with an elemental sharpie
a pollock in basic black
The apse, his greatest
creation, a mural of apples
nigh a blithe kangaroo with
an asp lurking in its sack
Upon an ivory altar a
nightingale was portrayed
that also served as the choir
inspired by Paul Dirac
The façade was allowed to
seed graffiti styled naïveté
to dispel the critics' grief of
Michael's psychedelic shack
