Then again, the brandenburg orchestras are also beautiful.
As far as influence goes, Beethoven was extremely influential to future music, and moved classical music into the romantic era. Bach on the other hand is the epitome of Baroque and in his music became more prominent again in the 19th century and has remained influential since, so they're both very influential.
I just can't decide. It's too difficult. I'll toss a coin. Heads for Bach.
