That's part of it. Jerry Cantrell's voice isn't much, but it meshed great with Layne Staley's. Where Cantrell is wizardly is in coming up with tunes that also paint a mood. The openings of "Angry Chair" and "Grind", for just two examples. are not only great riffs, but they make you feel in your gut exactly how Cantrell wants you to.Quote:
