Cells:small units of life. Also units of restraint (prison cells).
Prison:
Prison: A social experiment in dire need of an overhaul. When Eastern State Penitentiary was first opened the idea was to reform prisoners. Even Alcatraz had in place programs to teach prisoners a trade. Hard labor built our interstate system. I can recall the chain gangs building the I-81 through this area, and my son lives near what was the convict camp where they were housed during their work. Now prisoners do not have to work at all. Many prison trade programs are gone. The prison here in town used to work a farm where prisoners grew their food and milked the cows and tended chickens and other livestock. No more. Taxpayers are tasked with keeping the bad guys locked up. Were I in prison, being allowed out of the cell to work outside would be a godsend! At least the local jail uses prisoners to pick up trash along the highways. As I said it beats setting in a cell all day...
Prisoner:
Pendragon: I could tell you volumes about the prison system in my country, but I´ll rather not. One of it´s worst characteristics, is that the prisons are alwaysnovercrowded and that usually prisoners that commit lighter offenses are put together with heavy offenders. When they get out of prison they are full blown criminals. So much for prisoner reform.
Prisoner: A person locked in a cell as a punishment for disobeying the law of the country. Also someone who is confined or limited by some circunstance or condition.
