splendid splendid!! welcome all...:) LitNet is, I assure you, utterly fantastic :)
Hi I am Jake, an eighteen year old male. I feel eighteen years young. One hundred fifty seven thousand eight hundred seventy six hours treading water.
I don't like introductions. It's easier to just show up and stay awhile until it feels the same as where I was.
I don't know why I wrote this. Hey! everyone anyway I don't like being nice. But I think that it's truer to my nature, and hate is truer to my fear. :yawnb: this is wrong, all wrong. a person is like a cavity consistently being filled up; a writer is someone who finds the very act of living strange, as if he can't remove himself from the process; it requires constant analysis and re-evaluation. Ok. hi. see you on the field.
Hey there everybody :D My name's Jovian. I'm 20. I'm a student and a budding novelist.
Darn it, I'm VERY bad at introductions haha. Um... let's see, I don't know where to begin. I'm currently studying for my B.A English in Singapore, but I'd be returning to Sydney soon. Ok, I know this is a bad introduction, and I think I just shot myself in the foot LOL. Anyways, I'd like to meet new people who are keen on discussing and analysing literary works :) I figure that literary discussions in this forum might help me in my studies as well :P

Hello, my name is Natalie, and this is my first post.
My name is Nathan, I'm 17, from the UK and in my last year of Sixth form, where I hope to end up in University next year. I'm aiming to study either History & Politics or History and English.
Currently, I take A2 English Literature, second year of my A-level English Literature course and I have to say, it really opened my eyes up to literature.
So far, I studied
Edward's Albee's 'Who's afraid of virginia woolf' - which i found a very interesting play
William Shakespeare 'King Lear' - A story of tragedy which has gave me a love for Shakespearian literature.
A selection of Ted Hughes Poems
and Oscar Wilde's 'Dorian Gray' - A very interesting novel once you get into it.
As of right now I'm studying, an assortment of World War 1 era poetry, (Wilfred Owen, Jessie Pope etc.)
Erich Remarque's 'All quiet on the western front' (A novel I'm strugging with, but I'm sure I'll crack it.)
As for personal reading, I'm in the middle of reading Bret Easton Ellis' 'American Psycho' and George Orwell's '1984'.
I guess thats mostly my literature related introduction.
Glad to become a part of this community.
