Piece Of My Heart ~ Eric Clapton
Arc Of A Diver ~ Steve Winwood
What a great song. Here are the lyrics:
Quote:
Arc of A Diver
by Steve WInwood
She bathes me in sweetness I cannot reveal
For sharing dreams I need my woman
This humble expression meagerly dressed
My eyes so mean it has no meaning
But jealous night and all her secret chords
I must be deaf on the telephone I need my love to translate
I play the piano no more running honey
This time to the sky I'll sing if clouds don't hear me
To the sun I'll cry and even if I'm blinded
I'll try moon gazer because with you I'm stronger
Arc of a diver effortlessly, my mind in sky and when I wake up
Daytime and nighttime I feel you near
Warm water breathing she helps me here
This time to the sky I'll sing if clouds don't hear me
To the sun I'll cry and even if I'm blinded
I'll try moon gazer because with you I'm stronger
Lean streaky music spawned on the streets I hear it but with you I had to go
'Cause my rock 'n' roll is putting on weight and the beat it goes on
Arc of a diver effortlessly, my mind in sky and when I wake up
Daytime and nighttime I feel you near
Warm water breathing she helps me here
With you my love we're going to raid the future
With you my love we're going to stick up the past
We'll hold today to ransom 'til our quartz clock stop until yesterday
"Music From the Big Pink" by The Band. I just go this in the mail today.
Which reminds me.. I need to write the song I am listening to
=
She's a Rainbow - The Rolling Stones
Happiness is a Warm Gun - The Beatles
Really? Hmm...I think a lot people would know the songs of The Kinks without knowing who they were performed by. Well, at least 3 of them for sure. They would be "Tired Of Waiting For You", "You Really Got Me" and "All Day And All Of the Night". My personal pick of theirs has always been "Sunny Afternoon". :)
You Didn't Have to Be So Nice - The Lovin' Spoonful
(I decided to mellow down now :) )
Ghost Opera- Kamelot (super metal experience)
hmm yes definitly "You Really Got Me" but that too would only be known by some people. Recent generations have very little knowledge of music from the sixties and seventies (the best kind) now a days. It is depressing.. but then again, i always hate sharing music with most people so maybe it is for the best. The Lovin' Spoonful BRRRRRRRRILLIANT. :D
Wow everyone on here as an awesome taste in music i swear
The Doors
Steve Winwood
The Band
The Beatles
probably because most of you are old..
no offense :p
My song that i am listening to is
Riders on the Storm - The Doors
(there is a storm outside so it seemed appropriate)
I always thought Shangri-la was their best...That or Village Green. Speaking of The Kinks, has anybody else ever noticed that Stray Cat Blues by The Rolling Stones sounds like a rip-off of Big Sky?
Oh, but I digress. Currently I'm listening to the 4th movement of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, which may very well be the greatest piece of music ever written.
Tourista - Youssou N'Dour
Outside the Wall ~ Pink Floyd...Shalot reminded me of what an incredible album this is.
"Burning Up" by Kylie Minogue
I am basing it on what is used on TV commercials. :p
I kind of feel the same way. I like to meet people that actually like what I like and that know enough about the music. Then again, I kind of like it when people don't know the music that I listen to. That way I can keep it all for myself. :pQuote:

Aren't they, though!??! :DQuote:
The Lovin' Spoonful BRRRRRRRRILLIANT. :D
I haven't listened to anything of The Kinks in so long. "Shangri-la" is pretty good, but I almost forgot about "Village Green". That actually is a really good song. I am getting in the mood to pull out some of their music and listen to it again. :)
Anyway, my music of choice at the moment:
Rodeo: Buckaroo Holiday
Just an entertaining orchestral piece composed by Aaron Copland. I love it! :D
Somebody Groovy ~ The Mamas & The Papas
A Day in the Life - The Beatles
My favorite pop song.
Wanderlust- Nightwish
Haha EXACTLY! if they already know the music then it is fantastic and i can talk with them about it forever but i will not make any attempt at introducing them to it.. :) so it stays mine alllllllllllll mine.
My favourite Kinks song is Death of a Clown.. it is fantastic :D:D
in fact...
i'm listening to that now.
Death of a Clown - The Kinks
Woman King ~ Iron & Wine
Bartender- Regina Spektor
Waterloo Sunset ~The Kinks

This is one of the great Stones songs that no one has ever heard of. Get it.
Feel So Different ~ Sinead O'Connor
