Thanks Jon. I'm no expert on Whitman, but I think the first edition is the better. I don't think he edited well. When he just let it out he was at his best. In all fairness to him, he was really breaking ground with his form and didn't have any models to go by. I've grown to really respect Whitman as I read him more.Quote:
