CCCIV Now they are easy again
That's italian! Good bye all? I'm a musician, tutti in conchertos means everyone plays, not just the soloist.
CCCV You know, for some reason, I've always had a hard time remembering what each letter as a Roman numeral stands for.
M=1000
C=100
L=50
X=10
V=5
I=1

307, already? wow only 9693 to go...
308 Thanks for putting things in perspective Papaya :lol:
CCCIX - So how would you write 10000 in Roman numerals, when we get that far?
As I recall, after a certain point you put a line over a given number, which indicates that you multiply it by 1,000. So 10,000 would be X but with a horizontal line drawn over the top. I don't know how to do that though, maybe you, with your great knowledge of accent marks and such, would be able to devise a way.
10,000-9690= 310
trescientos once
Unfortunately, I don't know how to do it. The only way I know is on Microsoft Word, and it won't let me copy and paste it that way on here.
CCCXII
I find it requires thinking when books have their copyright dates written in Roman numerals. One has to remember if it should be 50 less than or more than other numbers.... MCMLXXIX = ? BTW, don't forget about D!
Oh this just popped into my head! Millenium and Century
CCCXIII - You know, that's a good way to remember it. Thanx!
CCCXIV This is a good way to get practice! (they haven't shown up yet in my algebra book...)
CCCXV - So, what classes are you gonna take next year? If you need help with math, feel free to ask me. I should be able to help you.
