I'll be posting the "uncut" version in the Short Story section soon (it's about twice as long as what you read here), and would love to hear your comments.
I would also like to invite the other finalists to post their stories there, especially the writer of Shanti; I'd really like to shake his / her hand (well, virtually, at least).

Also to the writer of the Shanti - I really liked your story. It just had a good feel about it. It's hard to describe, but I enjoyed it in the prelim's and then I enjoyed it more in the finals.
