Forgive my American ignorance, but I thought GMT was central standard time.
hey, me too! (though I somehow got noon in the time converter)
But if Virgil is in NY and it's 8pm for him, I guess it's 5pm for us.

Time zones are so confusing, especially with dumb daylight savings. I'll try for 8pm. We're doing it again on Sunday, right? I think I might be home on Sunday. Probably not on Saturday, but maybe.
:rolleyes:Quote:
I can tell everyone I've got a date with hundreds of women saturday night. :D
How can you people not know when GMT is?
Count me in - and I've gone around all the forums I participate in and changed my sig to get people here, a convenient 1pm Sunday for me.
Not the Apocalypse, 00:00 GMT 15 March 2009.
I'll be there, or I should be.
The Atheist> Our first try is on March 14th! Could you edit it accordingly please? Thank you! :)Andave,
I think it should be 5 pm on Friday for you (our first attempt, at least). Our first attempt is on Friday for you Virgil (8 pm).
Just to clear things a little more for our first attempt:
If you are east of London, it will be on Saturday (probably early morning).
If you are west of London, it will be on Friday evening (or late afternoon).
If you are unsure about the time, please post your city and country here and we will sort it out :)
That's friday night for me. I think I can swing that:D
Yes time zones are confusing! But at least i know i'm GMT! (grenwick mean time) It just means i'll have to be up midnight both nights! :D
This sounds fun (like an online party), but doesn't this seem like cheating? It makes me wonder if the previous record was set this way.
You are east arthur, think about a standard map americas one side Japan ( I just know Im worng arent I australia is further east isnt it?*sigh* ) the other. then write WE across england . W is west E is east. you are in the east because you are moviung towards aisa from london as opposed to towards the americas from London.
ahem I may be out checking out the local wildlife at that point. Will keep signed in to computer however
Use your mobiles people!!
Oh wait is it just obsessed people like me who have the litnet bookmarked on their mobiles:blush: ... what can I say I get bored very quickly
I can sign on on my cell phone even if I am out partying :D
When should I log on in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada?
TIA!
It's a date. I'll bring the wine.
online party? wow, sounds awesome!
Oh, I like That! Online party!
I'll be there, if I've got the date right. March 15th, 5.30 A.M I think. (I live in India)
For those of you who are interested, I've posted an event notice in the Literature Network Facebook Group. Any users who may have litnetters on their facebook pages that have not been on in a while, if they can follow the link and maybe invite them to the event that would be great! :D

And dont forget to add yourself to attending!:D
Litnetters who are already members of the group have been sent notification.
I will be there on the friday, but Saturday is green beer night at the local. I do not use my phone to browse the net (extortionate prices)
^ Green beer?
I invited GrayFoxDown.
Green Beer?
Oh wait...Its Paddies Weekend... Which means i could also be out now that i'm off for weekend...
So, beside login in, what other thing(s) that we're actually gonna do at, more or less, the same time?
Maybe an avy themed weekend? Its St Patricks weekend, maybe we can go green! :p
There is indeed! :D founded by litnets very own Dramasnot6.
OK. I have to admit that I am a tiny bit confused by this, but I think I have it. :) I won't be around on Friday. I guess I will make it for Saturday evening. I have a long day ahead of me that day, and I wasn't planning on going back out after I got home that day. So, Saturday at 7:00 PM. I can do that. :)
