Is It A Month
Is it a month since I and you
In the starlight of Glen Dubh
Stretched beneath a hazel bough
Kissed from ear and throat to brow,
Since your fingers, neck, and chin
Made the bars that fenced me in,
Till Paradise seemed but a wreck
Near your bosom, brow, and neck
And stars grew wilder, growing wise,
In the splendour of your eyes!
Since the weasel wandered near
Whilst we kissed from ear to ear
And the wet and withered leaves
Blew about your cap and sleeves,
Till the moon sank tired through the ledge
Of the wet and windy hedge?
And we took the starry lane
Back to Dublin Town Again.

cool interview, Niamh. What is operation Christmas child?
Awwww! You can come too! I'll pack you in the suitcase with george!
Operation Christmas child or "shoe boxes" as we call it, as part of the samaritans. from september to the middle of november you prepare old shoeboxes wrapped in christmas paper and stuff it full of toys, gloves, scarfs socks, toothbrushes and paste, undies and other stuff (some things not allowed like toy guns for obvious reasons!) and you select one of three age groups for either a girl or a boy and they go to third world and war torn countries as christmas presents for poor children. I think between friends family and work, mam and me managed to get close to 40 this year to the smaritans.
happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have a lunch!!!

I haven't been on LitNet in a while and completely missed your birthday!
Happy (extraordinarily belated) birthday and I hope you had a splendid time! :)
Ah, tis the birthday of the fairy of Froud,
Frae that land from over the sea
Ah, lassie, ye ken that ye make me heart proud
Because ye been a great friend t'me...
Have ye the sunshine or shadow this day,
Your heart will always shine like the sun
Your great nature willnae ever lead ye astray
So have a braw day and have fun.
Dinnae eat so much cake, for it will make ye sick,
Perhaps a wee bit o' wine frae your stomach's sake
Besides all those sweet things have a tendency to stick
'round your middle and make the scales break
Wishing ye lots of time wi' the Froud fairies,
Don't dance in their circles, nor drink from their dairies
Pendragon
