oh, crisaor - and here i thought i read all posts painstakingly except for lately! waddya know. :)
I would never blame you for desiring to return to Portland. I have lived here all of my life, and have not yet felt bored of the city; much of it seems saturated with some of my favorite things - art, nature, science museums, and friendly people. I have never visited Oklahoma, so I have no idea regarding comparisons, but I wish you the best of luck in your persuasion.Quote:

OK OK...I'll update my comment
Everyone is telling the truth and I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry ;)
Maybe you missed it, it's not like it's worth remembering information anyway. ;)Quote:

Yea jay, you don't
What a nice way of telling me to shut up :D. j/k Sub, know what you meant, lol
Im from Australia...anyone else from the land down under? lol
Cool to get to know where all the newcomers are from, now that I might be back on forum business soon...
I'm spending my last week in Szeged, in the south of Hungary, I will miss it like crazy :( :( :( (will tell you all about it once I m back home). And so next saturday I'll be back to my own pc in Verona, Italy. (actually, my dad and brother took over the pc but I might get a laptop quite soon...)
Hi to all those who joined after August last year and didnt have time to enjoy much of me :D
Verona! Cool, I've been there...lol lovely place. I still remember going to see "Juliet's Balcony" and the guy hanging around below it, dressed up in Renaissance clothes, holding a red rose, and looking intensely bored! And the Arena di Verona...we didn't actually go in, but went all around it looking for a bubbler - it was so hot! :) *Muses* Oh, all these lovely memories...I love travelling. Though I haven't been to Hungary, how is it? We have family friends from over there, and my mum's family used to go there for summer...
Molko, I'm from Australia too! What state are you from? I'm from QLD, but we're moving to Sydney early this March (according to plans).
Jay, would have commented earlier, I was very nicely surprised to see that you're from the CZ! I've spent...hmm...almost a quarter of my life over there, you see my mum's Czech.
Anyway, must go, lunch,
Miss Darcy
P.S. You know, I was in an English chat room once, and when I said I was from Australia they didn't believe me!
P.P.S. My friends spent five years in Indonesia, Sub....can't remember where exactly, though. Lol I keep coming back to this! ;) (Not that my friends being there has anything to do with me being there...)
Eheh Miss Darcy, you seem to have been or know people who have been to most places :)
Ah cool, you've been to Verona! I love to see tourists around! I love the city but after having been here I lost my interest in it, I dont know, I ve always found it beautiful but never liked living there... Hungary is cool, and I ve had a great time here, thanks to the situation, I met many nice people and been enjoying the small but lovely Szeged.
Oh btw, it must have been a special representation if there was a guy hanging from the Juliet's balcony... Many people dont like the place much tho, they are disillusioned cos it's too small and too packed with people. Lol sometimes in the bit of the street in front of it there are so many people that you can't pass, it's highly annoying if you're rushing to get the bus or something. :D
And what's a bubbler? Lol the place sucks when it s too hot :(
Oh there was an Australian girl here in Szeged, she had been here one year to learn Hungarian cos her mum is Hungarian.
And i've been babbling too much now.
Hi,
I'm from Turkey, Istanbul. I've been in Prag and loved the city Jay:) And also liked New York, Bali, Barcelona, Berlin, Köln... I love travelling and there are so many countries that I would like too see.
:) Miss Darcy I'm from S.A. but I have been to Queensland for a holiday once. Its very nice; very tropical. Sydney's nice too, but a bit too busy and 'fast-paced' for me, lol
******CANADA*******
I'm afraid Queensland has been getting less and less tropical and more and more dry; we had severe droughts a for a long time (or at least in my area - the Gold Coast - we were restricted to watering with buckets, no hoses, no sprinklers at one point)...and the rainforest up in the mountains wasn't so wet and lush as usual, either. But it's a lot better now, though we still could have some more rain. It's still tolerable, though. The grass is green...though it WAS greener. :)Quote:

As to Sydney, lol I guess you're right about "fast-paced", well at least if you live in the centre. But in the suburbs, where we've been looking around for houses, it's a lot nicer and even peaceful. You wouldn't believe it, but in Turramurra and Beecroft especially they have actual bush! You know, trees and trees and trees, sort of like over here. :) I've lived in QLD (almost) all my life (the rest was spent in travelling :D), but my parents lived in Sydney before I was born. I wonder what it's like, living in the city...
But enough babbling! I like babbling, but well, I can, like Anne Shirley, prove that it actually is possible for me to keep quiet for a time....though I warn you, it won't be long! ;)
Miss Darcy
P.S. Whereabouts in S.A.?
I am from China.
Coool!....I've always wanted to go there! About the closest I ever got was Singapore. What's it like?
And welcome to the Forum!
Half Danish, half Norwegian, born in Holland, grew up in Indonesia.... i don't really know... Currently residing in denmark...
I´m from sweden - so I guess we are almost neighbours.
I can see Sweden from where i live, so yes, :) i suppose so
From Holy Makkah...........Kingdom of Saudi Arabia :)
I've been there! Saudi Arabia, that is...lol it was only on a flight stop, but I really loved the airport. With its honeycomb designs....(I think it was Saudi Arabia! Yes, I'm pretty sure. It was a long time ago, though. I just can't remember the name of the city...)
Sincerely thanks for your warm welcome!Quote:
