convertsations with god #3
"It's almost as if the pleasures of the flesh at first cause us to forget Who We Are, then become the very avenue through which we remember." "There you have it. You've just said it. The use of physical pleasure to remembering Who We Are is achived through raising up, through the body, the basic energy of all life. This is the energy that you sometimes call "sexual energy", and it is raised up along your being, until it reaches the area that you call the third eye." Only problem is that flouride is used heavily in the west which calcifies the pineal gland which is assiciated with the third eye in eastern thought. I can't help but wonder how well a calcified pineal gland works? Might I refer you to the "Gitanjali" by Rabindranath Tagore, most inspiring.
the fivefold taper of my senses
O Living Lord, help me train the truant children of my senses not to wander away from perceptions of Thee.
Direct my gaze to Thy wondrous world within, to watch Thine ever changing beauty.
May I hear the lilt of Thy secret lyre.
Teach me to feel Thy presence in me, above me, beneath me, and around me.
Bless me, that I catch the scent of Thy breath of bliss.
Let me drink forever from the sourceless river of Thine inexhaustibility.
Orientwise, with sacred rites I offer at Thine altar the candles of my senses. May their spiritualized light mingle with Thine in the first pale shaft of dawn, the brash noon brightness, the muted glow of dusk, and the night's moon silver.
O Guardian of my being, keep ever burning before Thee the fivefold taper of my love.
Quoted from Whispers From Eternity.
May I See Goodness in Others
May I never use cruel sarcasm, which, like flies, alights on the open wounds of man and thus swells his troubles. I would emulate Thy lovable bee, attracted by the nectar of sweetness in the heart hives of others.
