I was surprised to fnd that I prefer Ben Harper's version. Very good.
I would find this a difficult choice. I like both versions for different reasons.

I'm surprised it's actually a tough choice, I may even like the Jose Feliciano version better.

The top one (though it's not good) I hate all that false pop beat rubbish from the last one.
All covers seem completely inferior to me, but anyhow, that's not in the spirit of the thread of course.

Hard choice there - they did a good cover and added to it with the vocals. I'll have to go with the original though.

They're both great.
That is a tough one, but I will have to go with the Beatles.

It's got to be The Who, but Blue Cheer's version was good.
What about these two? I like them both.

What a coincidence! My wife and I were introduced to this song when Adam Lambert performed his version on American Idol a few seasons back. His performance was great, but we were more intrigued by the song, after a little research, my wife discovered the Gary Jules version. Soon after that, I found that it was originally written/ performed by Tears for Fears.
I digress. Usually I would go with the original, but I have to take the Jules.

Your digressions are welcome Gilliat. I agree with your choice too.
I prefer the second version.
What do you make of these two? Polar opposites or what?

I think it shows an uncommon humour...
As boring as it might sound, it'll always be Sinatra for me... Was not very familiar with Sid and what I have read of him does not make me like him particularly either. [/humourlesswhine]

No... he came to a bad end, though there's a bit of humour there. Shame about the predictable descent into drugs etc.
Funny how Michael jackson was similar in some ways. I'll go for the first one for the humour.

A very difficult decision for me but I think I will go for Ferry's version because of the visuals!

Though I'm not sure Jagger could be described as dancing.
I have to stick with my motown roots on this one.
How random was that for Mick to drink from that can in the middle of the video.
