the band's been on "extended hiatus" since, i think, 2001 or 2002. who knows if they'll ever come back, though.
Star Crunch wasn't in the lineup for their last album (i think it was A Spectrum of Infinite Scale).

Yeah. :( I know.

My friend went as Coco the Electronic Monkey Wizard for Halloween last year. Great costume. She could pull it off as an astronaut for all the people who didn't "get it".
I mean, how could you not love a band that plays theremins while they're on fire?
Arthur Russell's music has always really inspired me, moreso his acoustic work over his disco work but I still love it all.
He died in 1994, and never really became popular...
Though that could change with the release of a documentary focusing on his life and his music. Would be nice to see his music get more appreciation.

Gotye's music, best new Australian artist, way up there with Powderfinger, Jet, Wolfmother (I think they're aussie...) and Cog.
hey Baki, look what I came across on youtube: Orchid Visions a rock/metal/emo? band from Costa Rica.

I dunno if this is the right thread to post this, but I like discovering new non-mainstream bands (as long as I can do it on the internet and don't need to lift my *ss out of my chair) and I dimly remembered that there was a thread like this around.
