I express the greatest sympathy to all others with a bad day, though I feel oddly comforted knowing I was not alone in having a rough time, but I hope things get better with you all.
Rough days come and go...
Finals are nearing, essays need to be turned in, and I discovered the longisland ice tea.
just now....??? shame on you ;)
it's only long island tea..for heaven's sake..
one of my fav teas of all time :D :D
i got a b- on a paper the other day. nearly passed out when i saw the grade. no more writing in the wee hours before the darned thing's due...(don't read this scher! :p)
Nearly passed out because you were glad or disappointed?? *sends a teacherly glance at amuse's direction*
oh, very disappointed. i mean, a b is just a few rounded pen strokes away from an f. (made a friend do this to  me, but it's true; i thought i might faint, actually!
has that ever happened to you? not the grade, but have you seen a student fall over in disbelief?
Hey, B- isn't bad at all!
*offers you a KitKat to cheer you up*
If you are not happy with it this time, next time you will try harder. That's what I always think
Occasionally there will be students who do not agree with my grading but the things I teach are pretty much clear cut so we settle our disagreements quickly (me being the absolute right! :D ) Last month, a student of mine failed the same course for the second time due to his nerves during the exam. Although I was heartbroken, there was nothing I could do :( I do hope he will come back and take the course again.
My turn.
My University says that they want "well rounded students", but it feels like all their doing is rounding down our wallets. I hate taking required classes that are no good to me! I took French because I wanted to learn the language and it was required for me to take two semesters. Well, now at the end I still can barely choke out a sentence. They move you so fast that you can't absorb the last chapter. What a complete waste of time and money. If it wasn't for that, I could have graduated a semester earlier!!!!
I want to do what my aunt is doing. She quit college here and is going to finish in England when she moves there next summer with her husband. They wanted her to take a year of biology which has nothing to do with her degree in computer graphics. All it did was bring down her GPA. In England she'll be done after two classes. I went to that same school she quit from and I could extend the complaints.( I couldn't graduate from there either without forking out tons more dough)
well depends... I'm a half hour from boise, you?Quote:

indeed, at my university, there is a chapel, that runs everyday, and they sell school products at the end of mass.
well if the students were the organizer and they used the money to fund student's activites, i think it's ok..
I think if anyone has had a rough few days, that title would belong to both poor Logos and Admin; so I offer my sympathy, and may we all post in peace.
