I think Seeker is going to be positively crestfallen unless someone attempts to hijack a thread real soon . . .
I play the guitar, and the Bell Curve.
okay seeker, challenge you for the thread, my flute vs your giutar
I play the guitar, fool around with a few harmonicas, taught myself the mandolin last year, and I can tap my feet ..........but not all at the same time.....
Two words; blunderbus, grapeshot. Aye matey.....
Besides working and saving for more expensive instruments, I would often search diligently for instruments in newspaper ads, garage sales, and local magazines. My trumpet, so far, seems the only instrument given to me, passed down four generations in my paternal family.Quote:

Used to pllay the recorder for... five? years, guitar for some time, and drums for two... miss the drums, lol. But I have no place to play... and nothing to play... oh... All I wish for Christmas is a drum set :p:
I know this is an old thread, but I like the topic...
I play harmonica (harp), electrified harmonica (I have my own amp and green bullet microphone), and a variety of percussion instruments. I really like to get funky with my feedback. I even carry my harmonicas in a special briefcase that looks like a coffin (called a coffin case).
I still find that I play the fool, not that I like too.Quote:

I mainly play piano, but have also had lessons for violin, which I love as well.
I also love the guitar, and like to play a little, but need some lessons desperately.;)Ideally, I hope to get a full harp oneday and teach myself to play some angelic sounding tunes on that. But my all time favourite is the piano-both playing myself on my own and also listening to others-its beauty surpasses the other instruments for me, and I'm very addicted to the sound of a live piano especially.I'm rather fond of cello as well, but have not learnt to play this fine string instrument. So if I had to choose to play another instrument I pick harp, cello or flute(which I was quite keen on wanting to learn as a little kid, but never actually played). How about you?
well... i used to play piano and recorder at school, but due to small hands playing piano became harder and harder so I quit (only to regret it later, but...) Now I'm learning to play guitar and bodhrán, a celtic percusion instrument. On my wishlist I have too many: from picking up piano again and finding a way to play it despite the small hands, to picking up harp or violin (but I don't have the patience for it, I think)... But well... my favourite thing when it comes to music is singing :) People say I have a good voice, though I alway feel I'm singing out of key if there's no one playing along.
Wish you all the best,

To learn guitar is one of my dearest wish. I hope I will be able to have a guitar and I will be clever enough to learn it.
I took 6 years of classical piano.... stopped after that and have slowly been picking it up again. Last year I started accoustic guitar. (My dearest father is a professional guitarist, so I have a personal teacher at my disposal at all times!)
My brother is a professional drummer (like father, like son!) and I sometimes escape to the basement to release my anger on the very useful and appropriate instrument. It's very therapeutic! I highly recommend it!
I play the piano... and I love it. I don't need an accompanist. I am my own accompanist and soloist. :D I know a little about the violin and cello too, since I help my brothers with them. I also teach the piano.
