I've heard about a movie called "Skipping Christmas" coming out soon with Tim Allen and a very old-looking Jamie Lee Curtis, but there seems to be some controversy over the title. The studio says they didn't base it on Grisham's book and may have to retitle the film "Christmas With The Kranks."

I don't always enjoy Grisham, there are some of his books that I wish I had never read. But so far I've enjoyed any of his novels that have nothing to do with law (Skipping Christmas and A Painted House). I only suggested this one because the main characters take a grinch attitude toward Christmas for one year.

I have read couple of Grisham books and they are good 'reading snacks' even though they don't have much literary value. Having said that, I thought A Painted House was a particularly good book; a heart warming story told masterfully. I think Grisham has really outdone himself with this one.
