'Someplace To be Flying...'
Edit:
Unless Mr. De Lint was born in the 1800's, that cannot be the case.Quote:
some consider him the father of the genre.
Now all we need is two more votes for Someplace To Be Flying... and no one else to vote for Gatsby :p... game anyone? :D

YES! A few more votes wouldn't hurt still... anyone else feels like reading anything else than a classic? I'm sure Papaya's waiting for the last hours to cast her vote... just don't be too late ;)... Anyone else? One vote lead is nice, but still not too secure... so... we're still waiting for more! Geeks and/or KitKats in our Live Chat pub for free! (well, just like everything else but that's beside the point ;))
That is of course if you don't forget to vote, right?Quote:

Sounds like a plan ;)
phtt! Silly me! I jumped the gun and went ahead to order Someplace to be Flying from my library, but I just realized that the poll hasn't even closed yet! :P
If something I own wins, I will join in, but I have too many books to buy new stuff.
400th post!
what happens if there is a tie?
Kiwi, my husband starts twitching whenever I talk of buying another book. As much as I would love to expand my own library, I've decided to borrow from the public one until our money is a bit freer. Just a suggestion. :)
*hugs for Shea and Kiwi* !!
There is a used bookstore in my backyard! *drooools* Well, my apartment looks out onto a parking lot, and there is a used bookstore in it, right next door. ...And another one across the street. (And a bookstore that sells nothing but politically-themed books just next to that! Don't think I'll be sharing any of those on here, though. :p ) Ah, paradise, thy name is Vermont.
That said... C'monnnn, Gatsby! I voted for "Cold Blood" to be neutral, and because it's what I want most. But if the "urban fantasy" book wins, methinks I'll be reading Capote anyhow.
All Rigghhttt! Capote might have a chance!!
