I would agree with your answer, but that would be unoriginal, so I'll assume it has to be one or the other and say a doctor. Of course I mean a pure doctor who works for the love of his/her art(saving lives), not one who is a doctor as a means of attaining monetary success.

Assuming it would not change the present then I would probably change World War 1 so it never happened then World War 2 wouldn't happen. But interestingly I began my answer stating that I would only change something if it would not alter the present time, but not whether that change would alter other historical events...
