In My Head ~ Queens of the Stone Age
yeah?
it was a recent acquisition after a conversation about you.
She's good, I'll send you what I have if you like. How did you like that Gillian Welch song?
Look At Miss Ohio~ Gillian Welch
A conversation about me?! I'm sure it was about what fabulous taste in music I have. But I am curious how her name came up, I don't even know of her, except for that one song of course. And go ahead and send it, I'm curious to hear her other stuff.
As for Gillian Welch, I can't remember. I looked through my song list to see what I rated it but the only Gillian Welch song I have on there is one with her and The Old Crow Medicine Show and that one was a little too country for me, actually, I think she played on a few songs from that disc but most of them were way too country.
Best Friend's Girl ~ The Cars
Well...I sent one with the latest REM. and um, of course it wasn't about your fabulous taste in music, now, how could it be, considering you are listening to The Cars??!! ;) just kiddin' I like that song, why the hell not.
Lolita ~ Black Francis
Horse To Water ~ R.E.M.
I hadn't downloaded those yet so that would explain it. I've started to download them now and yeah, the Gillian Welch one is indeed, a tad bit too country for me. :p
And there's nothing wrong with The Cars. I do have a few guilty pleasures from the '80's but they aren't one of them. :p :p
no, no, no! ferchrisssakes! come on! listen to the fricken' lyrics! and plus, she's the one who sings on O' Brother Where Art Thou, I think.
and I think you need to fill me in on those guilty pleasures.. or shall I fill your inbox with guilty pleasures? ;)
What's Good ~ Lou Reed
Well, it doesn't matter what the lyrics say, it's too dang twangy. You know I have problems with twang. :p
As for guilty pleasures, you know about INXS, I love INXS and Duran Duran, I like them and there's that Ratt song and then there's the couple of...ahh..no, I can't admit that in public.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (pts 1-5) ~ Pink Floyd, the song my youngest son was born to. :D
my youngest son was born to a Kings Basketball game...there was a TV in the delivery room, the OB was checking the score, and I will never forget that moment, so, so beautiful.
All Mine ~ Portishead
There was a Vikings/49er game on in the background when Sam was born but the sound was off so it wasn't quite so annoying.
Never Say Never ~ Romeo Void..."I might like you better if we slept together.."
Space Oddity-David Bowie
I was inspired by the Bowie thread.
Oh, ha ha-
I can tell you right now that I heard that song for the first time about a year ago once when I saw the music video for it on VH1 Classic and I can tell you I know the tune. At least for that line. Me and my memory.
Deceptacon ~ Le Tigre
Watch the choreographed dance to this song on Youtube. It's awesome!
