I fell asleep on the sidewalk in Paris while waiting for the bus to take me back to my hotel. Then, because there were no more seats, I fell asleep standing up and dreamed I was eating alphabet soup, only all the letters were M's.

I tend to fall asleep in random places when I'm in public. Something about the loud crowd noises all around me makes me tune out the world and lulls me to sleep. I've fallen asleep on the subway before and it scared the bejeezus out of me when I woke up. That's just never a good thing to do. But I don't think I've ever spent the whole night somewhere like that.
What was your special baby toy/blanket, and do you still have it? (Mine was a little stuffed pink hedgehog.)
I don't remember having one. My parents split up when I was six, so I probably wasn't thinking about it. I was always trying to be with one parent or the other.

No, unfortunately I have a brother who's 22. We've never gotten along -- I'm talking, fundy Christian, ultra-conservative, country-listenin', car mechanic, linear thinker, non-empathetic, A-type personality here. We think aliens brought him. What a cruel joke.

no, my boyfriend is as perfectly opposite from me as is possible, however, because we respect each other's view and positions we get along famously. (an example? he is a soldier, and i have personally marched for peace)

I've met some of both. My best friend is an only child, and she's smart as hell and level-headed and considerate. I think oldest children tend to be worse than only children, judging by... everyone I've met. :p

last semester i typed up speeches the morning they were due. that class was at 1 p.m. i did all the notes, rough outlines, etc. beforehand, just not the formal written stuff. i also never timed after the first one, just went around the house practicing, hoping i'd get all the info in the allotted time slot, and put in time with one person rehearsing a half hour before class started. they all went really well but the timing should have been better.

i sacrifice the covers because i have no AC. however i do have a little clip on fan that attaches to my headboard and i keep a plant misting water bottle on my nightstand and so i (we) stay cool enough to ...sleep.

Oh, heavens no. But on the occasions that I find myself stuck amidst other members of my own species, I do enjoy the watching. For amusement and to pass the time and to keep my brain from screaming and exploding out of my ears and such.

Yeah, only with me it was magazines. I got 4 free issues of "Revolver", and I even sent in the card that says I don't want anymore after the freebees, but they kept coming. So I kept reading them :p. Then they wanted like $30 for the subscription :mad::mad::mad:

I want to be ambitious. I look at all the adults around me and I see that none of them are ambitious anymore... one guy's ambition is to build a shop, another is to own a sporting goods store... psh... they call it ambition.

To never put bread and butter above doing what I'm passionate about. My father and mother were both wonderful artists, but got office jobs so their children could have financial stability. And guess what? They're still in the office, and their eyes are too weak and their hands are too stiff to make art anymore, or so they say. I'm determined to make a life around my artistic endeavors, not try to make room for art in my life.

Hmm... good one. I've had dreams that I *couldn't* wake up from...
I guess dreams of my cats. I know, I'm obsessed with cats. But every once in a blue moon I'll just have a dream of one of my cats playing with one of my old cats who's died, or cats I love at the animal shelter that they've never met. I've been told several times that I was laughing in my sleep when I had those dreams. :D
