Hey Niamh, how are you, girl? :)

Know what you Mean? yes. am up since 3.45am and only had 40mins sleep. Bummer huh?
(good to have you back around more kathy! Missed you around the threads.)
What would we do without you, Kathy? http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1.../BlowaKiss.gif
(I'll survive. I always have. Until The Man Upstairs is through with me, I won't be going anywhere anyway, now will I?) http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1...lies/Clown.gif
Why don't we all send our mental healing out to Pen and then he will feel better?
Hi everyone!
How do we accomplish that?
Maybe look closely at his picture in his signature. Then slowly think of something calm, peaceful, enlightening and maybe mentally project those thoughts to him? :)
Aw, that is a sweet idea kiz, you know?
I will send kind thoughts to Pen and also to you, kiz.
I can make no guarantees that the thoughts won't get sidetracked at coffee shops and bookstores though, ok? ;)
Sounds good my friend! BTW, I like your new avatar -- is it your own design?
Kathy's new avatar is indeed appealing on the eye--is it really her own design? :p
Well...if by design, do you mean that I used a website's software thingy to create the avatar?
Then if that is the case, then I could answer yes...?
If you mean did I sit and paint the avatar myself, then in all honesty I would have to answer no, you know?
I hope that you guys don't really think I wear a red ribbon in my hair like my avatar does...you don't, do you? :p
Wow, do I ask a lot of questions or what??!
What did I ever do to deserve such loyal friends? Don’t worry about the thought’s getting sidetracked at coffeshops and bookstores, especially the used bookstores, I frequent them, so they would probably reach me don’t you think?
On a serious note, I have an appointment with a neurologist, which is good. The bad thing is it’s not until June 26th and until then, I have to make the best of it. So, I won’t be moving far from my comfortable chair beside this computer, and I can’t stay on the computer for long periods of time. It affects my head. Que sera, sera. Keep thinking positive!

Did you receive the good will telepathically sent?
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s.../telepathy.jpg
p.s. I am glad you have an appointment coming up, Pen ... we can will the days to hurry up, couldn't we...?
And we are like one big happy family, are we not? :)
When will the cuckoo by my window stop? All night, every night!! Surely he'll get his girlfriend soon!!
You ever hear a flock of Whip-poor-wills at night, Enn? Or the booming of a Nightjar? Actually, I don't mind the Nightjars, but whoo, those Whip-poor-wills sound like a treeful of lost souls, know what I mean?
Check this sight out: you can listen to one!

What about owls hooting? That can be quite eerie sometimes, no?
Don't you think barn owls and screech owls are the worst?
I think they are wonderful birds, but the hooting is a bit weird, you know?
Just listened to the link that Pen gave us. Reckon that sounds ok. though if it went on for long enough I'd feel differently about it. I'm very fortunate to live in the middle of an area which is full of birds. I'm not really complaining about the cuthag but he does go on and on and on. Next it'll be the traon - corncrake to you all - croaking all night. Owls we're short of here.
As I have said before, my upstairs is clogged with all sorts of weird information. Did you know that screech owls are not the owls that screech? That would be a barn owl. Screech owls do that eerie wailing noise. And then some owls do give a hoot, you know? http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Kane/Owl_3.gif
Exactly, don't you think the screech and wailing are the worst? While on the subject of weird animal information, do you know what a capibara is(before looking it up)?
I think it has two rs. largest of the south american rat family or was it pig family. Apparently, it has some nutritious value. National Geographic, that's the source.
Hey there, PenD, that's a new one for an old dillitante bird watcher. Had enough trouble with mockingbirds outside my place, esp. in summer with windows open. They are great then they grate. Could be me, though. RJS
Where did the questions go? :p
So are we supposed to create a new question since the supposed topic has gone?
To ElissaDido: It's my experience that the thread is losing interest, or the timing is off, the litnet seems to align to either Greenwich M. Time or East Coast US Time, the arbiters will correct me perhaps. Don't count the thread out yet. I have a question...has anybody ever read R. M. Rilke for the first time in German?
@quasimodo: I think you got me wrong. I was meaning that is somebody else going to ask another question to break from the lost topic... I was not really referring to the topic thread. :)
No I haven't read R.M. Rilke... who is that?
Apparently an author, correct? A Capibara, (I always saw it spelled Capybara, but I am not a champion speller!), also called Nutria, is a sort of over-grown Guinea pig with a rat's tail, has been described as a "giant swimming rabbit without ears", and would you believe it, are now native to my home state of Virginia, USA since Hurricane Andrew allowed their escape from a zoo in Florida? Dang rodents spread like wild-fire up through the East Coast swamplands, and are legal to hunt now, how's that for irony? It's the same way we have a colony of monkeys living in Texas, and reported Kangaroos in Kansas, they adapt too quickly don't you think?

Hey there Pen, where do you get those graphics. It's all just 0s and 1s to me. Really i thought the writer was inquiring about a species...you are not going to tell me there is a writer by that name? If so, what lingo, where? And as for environmental questions, I'm still mad at the affluent idiot who imported black flies to NY to kill the aphids on his roses. They increase and multiply. I failed highend calculus. No sho. Keep on posting. quasimodo1
No, no. I was answering Ekissa on the writer, see? Capybara's are those giant pests which are getting closer, as far in as Martinsville, VA, too close for mem you know? The beavers do enough damage around here, and I like them! Ah, my graphics, hee-- I have smiley.com and I download the images, upload to photobucket and copy the shoutcuts, saves time, oui? http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1...lomKane/GM.gif
lalalalalalala...la...la......la?
Pen, photobucket is a great timesaver, isn't it? :)
Of course we have some smilies here too, but one would have to "go advanced" instead of "post quick reply" to use them, no?
a..b...c...d...e...f...?
See, anything can be a question in the questions only thread if you slap a question mark on the end of it, la?
"I cannot hear what you say because of the ------- of what you are"
HUH? emm.... dumdumdumdumdum......?
Would the opening post of this thread provide any clarification?
A link, a link, my kingdom for a link...?
:D :D :D :D :D
You talking to me? or Quasi? Can I keep going Lalalalala until i figure out something worthwhile questioning? or even have a lalala dumdumdum conversation?
My question: Is non-verbal thought a possibility, (I think yes), ? If we think in words then is our thought limited by our vocabulary? If so, do people with more words available to them have more potential for thought? Is meditation thought? quasimodo1
How can deaf people think other than non-verbally?
Am I mistaken, or do quite a large percentage of deaf people read and while the sound may elude them, the mental picture of the word or sentence is still there. Still, didn't consider that one.
