Sure, I took some lessons in swingdancing and performed, despite a bit of stagefright; the fear of performing front of people has gotten a bit stronger with age, so I may feel a bit more reluctant now, but I could give it a shot. :D

Would you tell me why Gustave Flaubert said "Madame Bovary, c'est moi"?
Hmmm, have not we discussed this somewhere, my dear Chava? Perhaps in some thread? Perhaps in some discussion of Madame Bovary and
I have heard a few different ideas, and Flaubert did not sound like the simplest person to understand, but . . . well, as a Frenchman and novelist - that seems quite the combination to create some ambiguity and confusion. Whether he considered himself as frivolous, unsatisfied, and infinitely indecisive as Mme. Bovary? Maybe. I suppose I almost want to take an existential approach to it that what a novelist, poet, playwright, and short story writer create seems essentially a part of him/her, for better or worse; yes, every diverse member of War and Peace existed as a part of Leo Tolstoy, whether a part of his own self or his imagination.
Same question, clever girl. ;)
Haha, you can't just throw it back! To elaborate on your answer though, c'est ne pas seulement "Madame Bovary c'est moi", perhaps it is also, "Madame Bovary c'est vous"?
Which literary character do you detest?
Ah, I can think of a few, but I dislike more their characters than anything else. Uriah Heep from Charles Dickens' David Copperfield comes to mind quickly, but also that detective from Albert Camus' The Stranger, Iago from Shakespeare's Othello, and Alexei Karenina (Anna's husband) from Tolstoy's Anna Karenina.
